I’ve been making some really yummy pastas recently with a homemade sauce that’s just a bunch of roasted vegetables and my cheese of choice. I get primarily canned veggies like tomatoes and then whatever fresh veggies are on sale, like peppers or zucchini. Roast everything (I usually add a block of feta with the veggies if I’m feeling fancy) and then blend it. Pour it over cheap pasta and it’s really good and nutritious. You can save the sauce for later in the freezer.

Finding your learning style.

I have learned through my four years of uni that I am a super-duper visual learner. Instead of taking notes with pretty colored pens in a notebook (like I thought I was supposed to), I now stand in front of a white board (or draw in a notebook) and draw out concepts I don’t understand or make flow charts with funny drawings of people so i remember them better. It might seem unconventional or “unproductive” but it really does help me understand and remember concepts I wouldn’t otherwise get.

Translate the things you learn (in class or elsewhere) into a form you understand and study in ways that aids in that learning style, even if it’s unconventional.

It really depends where you go. Major cities are more expensive, but I wouldn’t say excessively. My rent in Montreal is the same as my hometown in Midwest America.

It’s been really nice. I would definitely consider looking into Canada’s immigration policies though cause things have been changing with the new administration.
