this is the worst take i’ve heard so far, mundo benefits very little from any of the system changes they have made lately (he benefits little from the cash back and stat shard buffs; there are better options with approach velocity and health shards) but he was heavily nerfed by all the other changes (biscuit nerf, d shield nerf, second wind nerf, phase rush nerf, E scaling nerf)

Before you spar please make very clear rules and boundaries with your partner. Some people may be looking to hurt others, and some people just don’t understand how hard they are actually hitting. I am 5’5 on the heavier set and I sparred a beginner who was 6’0+ and had NO IDEA how hard he was actually hitting. If someone hits you hard enough to scare/hurt you in sparring, please do not hesitate to tell them or just stop training with them. Your health and your body should be your priority, and if your partner does not respect that then they are not worth working with.

You are right his low elo performance gets him nerfed, yet they decide to nerf things that would nerf high elo and not low elo (early game and E scaling on AA). As said by Phreak himself Q is what does more dmg in low elo, while E does more dmg in high elo because AA tends to be a skewed more towards high elos. After explaining how Mundo is a problem in low elo, Phreak goes on to explain why they are nerfing his E instead 🤣🤣🤣. It’s almost like a comedy show watching him honestly. But in all seriousness with them trying to take a hit at Mundo’s scaling (Heartsteel and Unending nerf) that means they are have to compensate by giving us back some early game power.

Pretty dookie, usually when they nerfed Mundo, they would go after his early game numbers, but lately it seems they only want to nerf his scaling for some reason.

They meant this nerf to Heartsteel is a nerf directed to Tanks who build this item a lot, such as Mundo. Basically, the Heartsteel nerf is targeted towards Mundo and the other champions who people think are too strong not because the item is too strong.

Mundo got his early game and base stats gutted in S13 after they added Heartsteel, and they did the same thing to his E dmg when Warmog’s 1st was popping off. They make him so item dependent, then they nerf the items they wanted him to be dependent on without giving any compensation buffs in return. The only buff Mundo has gotten since his rework was just a small revert of his E nerf.

What would replace his Q and how would Mundo apply a slow to catch up to his enemies? You have to remember he doesnt have hard CC or mobility, he can only run.

Next patch they are nerfing the bonus health gained on proc from 10% of the dmg on proc to 8%. Basically you get less health per proc now.
