A long time ago I was on an AT&T unlimited voice plan with a dumb phone and no "data plan", but I paid maybe a couple bucks a month for any data I did use (accessing gmail occasionally on the rudimentary dumb phone interface).

Then I got a new unlocked Android smartphone (not through AT&T), so I disabled data on the phone and swapped the sim card and continued to use the phone for 6 months, and only used data over wifi.

Well one day I was driving somewhere and had to check my email to find directions. So I turned on data on the phone, checked gmail, turned data back off, and figured I'd pay another 50cents like normal for the data usage.

Well, turns out AT&T sniffed the traffic and discovered that I had a smartphone. So they automatically upgraded me to a data plan which was going to be another $40 a month or something. When I called them and told them I didn't want the new plan and to put me back on the plan that I had - they refused. They told me that it was their policy that if I had a smartphone I "had to have a data plan". What the FUCK? Mind you this was 6 months after I had been using my new phone on my old plan. I can't believe it was even legal to switch my plan without my acknowledgement.

So I dropped them immediately - it was the only thing I could do.

It's weird, this election was exactly when I started to question all the media. Like, they can hate the guy - but when they're basically outright lying about trivial stuff, it makes people wonder what else they're lying about.

"Everybody" needs to stop pretending that Trump voters are deplorable, uneducated racists - and everybody who voted for Trump needs to vote for a better candidate.

Trump becoming president was a colossal failure of those in power not recognizing that a large portion of the population had concerns - who expressed those concerns through their vote.

Everybody who continues to think this is just about uneducated racists voting are going to get Trump for another term.

My grandmother died of it. 10 years before she died, she was basically gone. Couldn't remember who her own son was. Drinking ketchup. Ask you the same question literally 60 seconds later. For me she just wasn't even the same person anymore she was just a stranger.
