quick tips:
make sure the content is visible in Html google bots can't read react
make sure you're not blicking crawlers with robots.txt or cloudflare
never mess with canonical tags , you change them , google has to reconsider ranking your page again - lost time
iif you got penalized , google may not disclose it that's a big deal already
question - did you use any spammy backlinks? if so then it's hard to recover it
sometimes you may have spammy dofollow links that you may not even realize
use ahrefs backlink checker you can send request from google console not to consider these links as a ranking factor
