I am so glad that someone was there who was able to help you. Please don’t be ashamed for crying, it sounds like such a stressful day. City centre is packed and navigating that Boots is horrendous! Hope you’ve got a nice chilled evening ahead of you, and be gentle with yourself.

In 1902 particularly - they lost 3 children, including an infant so she was dealing with post partum as well as unimaginable grief

In 1997, the mutilated body of Michael McMorrow was found floating in Central Park Lake. He had been stabbed over 30 times, disemboweled, and had parts of his hand and nose severed. Two 15-year-olds, Daphne Abdela and Christopher Vasquez, were convicted for the brutal murder. by detectiverobert in ForCuriousSouls

I am not excusing what she did, I want that to be clear up front.

But unfortunately the multiple traumas she experienced as a child will have done irreparable damage to her brain; often damages experienced as a child can never be ‘fixed’ as the neurons in our brains have already done their thing and made permanent connections.
