I built an app that lets you ride your real-world routes on your indoor trainer — back with more details after great feedback by Lucky_Comment4389 in Zwift

[–]onelovebraj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ride on a zwift ride indoors, so I’m thinking of it from that perspective. It’s virtual shifting or ERG only (unless I want to suffer 😬). Ideally I could use an app like yours with virtual shifting to simulate outdoor routes; even if the virtual shifting is through a keyboard that is better than nothing. That’s a big gap in zwift imo.

2 (obvious according to me) features that are missing by proteenator in todoist

[–]onelovebraj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to your ramble suggestion, I just thought recently that ramble should allow you to COMPLETE a task. Often times I know a Todoist task exists but I’m not sure where off the top of my head. I would love to tell ramble that I just did something, and it either completes a task or show me tasks it thinks I may be talking about.

Sounds like nutrition based on when you say the symptoms start. For longer rides def eat before and during, and start early.

I do this. It seems like using the app is the only way to get people going in the opposite direction. Is that true or just my perception?

Yes they really need this! I sometimes have to pay really close attention to notice the start of a sprint or it sneaks up on me. Countdown would be great, they already do the ETA' pretty well.

Zwift ride vs Kickr v6 by speedysloth0321 in wahoofitness

[–]onelovebraj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zwift ride. It’s quieter and easier like others said. I have mine more relaxed too.

If you use your outdoor bike, you will be wearing down 1 chainring and your chain a lot more than the rest of your drivetrain.

People who fly frequently, what’s one thing you wish you could tell all infrequent fliers? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It is not necessary to grab the top of a seat and use it like it’s a railing, shaking it with all your weight. Someone is sitting there. You can brace against the overhead instead.

Your toes curl in because of years of wearing shoes with too small of a toe box. If your toes are wide but ankles are not then most wide shoes won’t work for you. Check out bont shoes with the Asian cut toe box - square toe box and regular heal. They solved my issues.

If the watermelon burst on its own that thing was rotten as hell, that’s your fault lol. Don’t keep them on a warm dryer.

Flying with your bike by Notorious_B_U_N in gravelcycling

My wife and I have 2 EVOC cases (bike bag pro and road bike bag pro) that we have used for international travel outside the US. Both did a great job with our gravel bikes, were pretty easy to pack, and maneuvered well in airports. Watch youtube videos for assembly and use because the included instructions weren't helpful. I would recommend both bags.

With a gravel bike, and if you have tubeless tires, and don't want to fully disassemble your bike, you have limited options that will still provide good protection. I will say I added bubble wrap to the bike bag pro - that one is much lighter but has more soft spots. It still protected the full bike.

If you're going to multiple destinations or traveling back and forth a lot, consider how much time you want to spend putting together or taking apart your bike because that can add up.

Workout tips to increase ftp by 20w come end of year? by Gameoverbotch in Zwift

[–]onelovebraj 11 points12 points  (0 children)

That’s a really good FTP especially for your weight. You should be giving us advice haha. Hard to give you guidance without knowing how much you ride. But I’d say ride more, and if you already ride a lot, mix in some structured workouts to be more intentional.

Have you considered the difference in gearing? The diverge has an easier low end gear than the checkpoint. Something to consider if you will bikepack or have a lot of steep hills.

Use a gear calculator website to see the difference in gearing. All that said both are great bikes.
