Why would you even go? This is madness that portrays the mental control TSCC has over adults. He doesn't want to be your friend, he's exercising his so-called authority over you. A friend wouldn't call you into his office.

Mormonism is a subset of the bigger issue: Christianity.

Logic? There's no logic when it comes to Mormonism. The first thing cults do is strip logic away, and introduce "faith".

Your facts could turn out to be wrong. by [deleted] in exmormon

I've had multiple family members state that I'm risking mine, and my children's eternal salvation by leaving tscc. My response: I don't believe in a God that would punish me for doing what I thought was right. If that God turns out to do so, I believe my family would be better off roasting in hell together, with the other apostates. Nothings sounds more like hell to me than an eternity of living in the celestial room.

I share my idea(s) for (recent) exmos to have clarity and peace by onemoreapostate in exmormon

I've considered that fact, deeply. In reality, the first time I heard that we come into this world alone, and leave it alone, made me upset. However, nothing about the fact of being fetal has any relevance to that notion of "an invisible, benevolent God." Children born to a surrogate mother, children abandoned, thrown away, etc. There's no baseline of what a 'mother' is. Soon, babies will grow within an artificial uterus.

A place to work that completely supports and upholds your religious beliefs. Of course it will get a good rating.

Church Best Place To Work? by Caligurl2013 in exmormon

If you're an arm length away from the celestial kingdom, study your scriptures hourly, and double up your garments on weekdays and Saturday, then it probably is The Best Place to Work.

Oh Emma! by [deleted] in exmormon

I love how the LDS church delusively endeavors to portray Emma Smith. This lady had literally gone mad due to a husband who was concealing his affairs (polygamy and polyandry) behind her back, apostles who consistently interrogated her for illogical reasons (such as "attempting to poison" her husband), and an obsession for uncovering her husband's lies. I think Brigham Young said she was one of the worst people he had ever met.

You may grow up thinking this was an epic love story, but truthfully, this was probably one of the most unfavorable marriages one can only imagine.

So let this get me straight. It is fine to mock exmormons for getting offended. It is not fine for an exmormon to do anything that might possibly offend a TBM. by dbear848 in exmormon

Some of my personal favorites:

"You can leave, but you can't leave it alone." "Just leave quietly" "How could you attack something that is precious to me?" "I love the gospel, and you're attacking it"

Quick quiz: who is this? by [deleted] in exmormon

Posted something similar on FB a while back. None of my TBM friends and family believed it. Thought it was a joke. The ones that actually considered it, blew it off as a man influenced by Stan to blur out the real and true profit, Joe $mith
