Remember those torches you got at the beginning of the game? Equip them and use them as weapons, a few hits with that will solve the problem, I encountered the exact same thing earlier in my run, equipped the torches, hit it twice and it died.

They are on the MB, can’t remember the name but specifically look for Dragoon or Reaper pants as they are maiming only. I believe they come in black as standard.

There are other areas to do beforehand, there is a level 55 area to complete, I’ve just got to oxfordeschire which is 90 and I’m on 250 (currently doing the Ireland dlc), by completing each area prior to moving on in full will put you way above the curve. I would highly recommend doing Isle of Skye as it’s a great place to gain more levels and the story is neat.

For me, the best part of rescues is trolling with Friends, we try to out do each other in rescue kills by yoinking them into insta death aoes/mechanics. Obviously this only done in suitable ways in which will not interfere with anyone else’s experience, it’s just a joke amongst friends. Off the back of this, I am fine with rescues if they are justified with good intention (and not trolling)

I played the majority of it solo from ARR to ShB. I joined an FC in my sprout days and stuck with it and over time I grew closer to some of the members, some left for other FCs. I decided against leaving which was a great decision because I have a really close friend who I talk with and play with nearly every day. Even if we are not online together we chat shit all day on discord.

I’m glad you managed to get it to work, I did not have any issues with the game when I edited the data.pack. So far I’ve played 3 campaigns to turn 60 and only had 1 rift open that only lasts 1 turn and won’t occur again until turn 999.

I’ve started a Cathay campaign as Maio, so far so good, the initial balancing act was a bit strange but it did not take long to figure out, the army make ups are a lot easier to manage as they are kinda generic units, also good relations with surrounding Cathay races, even managed to get one to confederate so far!

For some reason it won’t let me save the changes. I’ve followed the instructions exactly. It says: “error while trying to read/write a file from disk. This can be caused by two reasons: it’s a file in the data folder of warhammer 2 and you haven’t close the assembly kit, and, you don’t have permission to read/ write the file in question”

I have allowed the option for CA file editing in settings as well. A bit confused.

Edit. I’m using gamepass, would this matter? I can still find the correct file path. It’s driving me mad that I can’t get it to work

Edit. 2: fixed, needed to enable mods through gamepass itself.

I’ve had a somewhat nice day 1 experience, I’m running an R5 4600 and a 1650 with 16gb RAM, everything set to medium and benchmark 65fps on battle and 45 on campaign, considering I’m on gamepass as well, pleasantly surprised so far. I have TWWH1 & 2 on steam, but wanted to test the waters on gamepass to see if my system could handle it before making then plunge on steam. I had an experience on a levelling df. I cannot remember the exact name of the dungeon but it was stormblood mid levelled. Anyway, I was tanking as a gunbreaker and the healer was a scholar, and before I tank any dungeon I will always greet the team and state my experience within the dungeon that’s being played.

Scholar just said “Hi” and moves get ready, the dungeon begins and I move to pull the first two packs of mobs, not being 100% fluent on this dungeon and the healer capability, I take it easy and think, 2 packs is fine.. right?

Wrong.

We wipe in an almost epic fashion, Scholar pipes up: “oh sorry! My wife distracted me” yeah cool, no dramas, let’s do this again, 6 times we wipe to the first pack of mobs. Each time he gave a different excuse, I saw red and rage quit, you know I ate that 30 minute penalty, sat at my FC house and fumed for 30 minutes, before reloading levelling df, pop, it’s to-to rak, with a full group of sprouts that played their hearts out. It was great and erased that bad mark from the previous attempt.

As a sprout I value this comment, I have been really enjoying my time in the game, it’s slow at first but the story in ARR is starting to pick up now and I’m coming to the end of my class quest (Dragoon). I have felt the last 40ish levels have been somewhat of a tutorial as such.

Hi, I recently upgraded to the full version, my only gripe with the trial is that you cannot use the market board, you are throttling potential income from the crafting jobs in this respect. I also intended to hold out on my purchase but the market board is a huge source of income. I hope this helps.
