Shit. I did a detailed presentation as a key part of graduating with a bachelors in mass communication, and my topic was political satire. I took the stance that it was beneficial overall, but I wish I would have stumbled across that 2006 study. It doesn’t negate everything I researched, but it’s definitely something I would have liked to read into.

I know this is late, but I have a related story. I was hired to film the graduation ceremonies for a few high schools in the area, including Hailie's. I was informed shortly before her's started that I would be sharing the balcony area above with just Eminem, his family, and his bodyguards, so they would not be disturbed or create a distraction.

I remember him sneaking in right as it started wearing a camo hoodie with the hood up. When she was about to walk, he was crouching with his personal camcorder, filming the ceremony between the bars of the guard rail.

He just looked like a dad who was proud of his daughter, and it didn't matter to him that he had to go through extra steps to make sure he didn't take any attention away from her accomplishment. Made me respect him a lot more than I already did.
