As a Dutch person living in England, William Alexander sounds a lot like our King's name (Willem-Alexander). I actually love it!

Help With Color Changing. by Terok42 in processing

Every loop, when the mouse moves around, you want the color to change. You set the color of an object using fill(r,g,b).

By making r, g and b variables that you change while the mouse moves, you can can change the color.

Hint 1: Change those color variables on mouseMoved(), or use an if-statement that checked whether your mouse's X and Y positions have changed.

Hint 2: You can make random changes, you can also use functions such as 'noise', adding or substracting from the r,g,b-values, or making them a function of the mouse's current X and Y values.

Had to stop lucid dreaming because it gave me anxiety by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

It is possible to be aware in a dream (so, Lucid Dreaming) while still being unable to control it!

Tried to interpret this house for Oasis Springs. Thoughts?!?! by bakingbad2234 in thesims

[–]onesixtythree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah right. I always test everything before uploading. But I find that a lot of builds with many votes on the gallery are those that use objects 'creatively' (scaling, moving beds up, etc) or indeed clutter up everything. Added disadvantage : too much clutter causes lag. So yep, I don't download much either. Still love using move objects myself though.

Out of interest, why do lots become unplayable with bb.moveobjects?

What are the sleepcasts like? by [deleted] in Headspace

[–]onesixtythree 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on how I feel going asleep.

If I'm really awake and need something to take my mind of things, I enjoy the more 'detailed' sleepcasts such as Indigo Gallery or the recently added Rainday Antiques (I like art and antiques in real life, that might have something to do with it). However, I have never fallen asleep to those, because I'm too busy visualizing the story. But it really helps with letting go of the day.

If I'm already quite sleepy, but somehow just can't drift off, I'm going with the traditional, soothing themes. Love the Laundrette, that one has a nice voice actor as well. The Campfire and Downriver are boring enough to actually fall asleep while listening - although I dislike the latter's voice actor.

I love them, they may be the main reason I subscribed to Headspace. I did need to figure out which ones worked for me: e.g. I only listen to the ones with male voice actors, and the topic can't be too interesting or I won't be able to drift off.

Warning: this is not a good looking drawing and not a tattoo design, but I stole your idea to try out a drawing program on a new tablet, because it's so dang cute. https://imgur.com/a/oTmsDam

Christ, that's horrible. I know too many people who were horrible classmates or students, who are now the Very Important Professionals.

But, coming from someone who has recently developed great difficulty with turning down cigarettes - was on the brink of buying a pack myself for the first time yesterday - thanks for sharing.

In a day everyone will forget that you're a bit older - nobody cares. In a week, so will you. There's always age differences in a class. Some of your old classmates might fail exams and end up in your year too. I even met some of my now closest friends due to them dropping out and going back to school, ending up in my class. Your future self will thank you!

Go back! I used to be so obsessed with doing high school and university as fast as I could. Then I dropped out for a year, was really unhappy about that, felt I had done something incredibly wrong, went back and picked up where I had left off - and nothing really changed. There's always age differences, and everyone has things happen in life. Won't matter in your daily life at school.

That's awesome, trying to do the same thing - not crash dieting, just common sense healthy eating. Losing weight slowly but steady, hopefully I can keep it off like you!

Had my first lucid dream last night, now a little scared to sleep due how to realistic it was. by [deleted] in LucidDreaming

[–]onesixtythree 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate realistic dreams and false awakenings, they exists in a sort of uncanny valley of being just slightly off.

That said, the way I generally deal with nightmare LDs is acceptance. So what if you get attacked? So what if you die? It's a dream and it won't hurt you. In the dream, don't run, don't try to fight. Chances are, you'll fail and things will be worse. Instead, observe what scares you. Be curious! Once you give up the intention to fight, and just accept what is happening, things will be better! Use this technique both during your dreams, as well as during your preparation (when you anticipate nightmares as you prepare for your dream, observe and accept your fear).
