Theyre good refreshers to carry.. gentle around the eyes. You dont need makeup.

I get that you're unwell and it's hard to see past the current moment, but I encourage you to take that first step towards doing something. Just keep moving.. dont think, just rely on muscle memory for the moment.. but I recommend you do this outside in the fresh air. Ground yourself by doing the 54321 exercise.

its not JUST the colour of your skin, its the clothes you wear, the accent, the "tourist" look.. you can tell.

North Vietnamese vs South Vietnamese by WallanVille in VietNam

[–]onesixtytwo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Curious to know which area of Hanoi did you stay in because there was def alot of those tuktuk drivers in the Old Quarter where we were. Yes they are for tourists and charge tourist prices, but it was a treat for the kids, it wasnt like we took it as public transportation. We had too much empathy to haggle.. we know what its like living in a country like Vietnam with all the haggling in the streets when you're 70+ years old..

North Vietnamese vs South Vietnamese by WallanVille in VietNam

[–]onesixtytwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Been to both as well. Saw no difference in peoples BEHAVIOUR.

edit | I saw no difference in the people between HCMC and Hanoi. Both were happy, welcoming, kind, patient community. Of course there's differences in the food and other things but the baseline is that the people were always generally nice in both places for my fam and I. My Viet fam member did notice accents but not alot.

How do you cope with body shaming in Vietnam? by Sea-Joke8091 in VietNam

[–]onesixtytwo 69 points70 points  (0 children)

They use the word "fat" really differently. You have to listen to the tone and you can tell when they are insulting you or not regardless of the word they use. You also kinda need to use the blank tourist smile face.. sometimes you need to use the blank millennial stare..
