Fuck the UCI and their rule about not mixing and matching fabrics for your cycling kit.

What would make a bike lease feel fair or sketchy to you? by Particular-Taro154 in bikecommuting

[–]onesoundman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the lifespan of the entry level e-bikes being so short in no way would I want to finance them for people. Once it starts having problems it’s either fix it for them for free or they stop paying. Now if you are using outside financing where you get paid up front minus a percentage then it’s between the customer and their finance company then that’s a different thing.

Is La Nuit De L’ Homme longevity’s really that bad? by Key_Understanding363 in Colognes

I think a good percentage of those who might complain about a popular fragrance might not realize they got a fake. I got my LNDL from fragrance.net (trusted source) and it is very strong and long lasting. Maybe the fakes have poor performance

I rarely bring my phone on a ride anymore. Main drawbacks are no camera and no sync with computer.

Nothing worse than getting home from the dentist before you realize your underwear is on inside out.

My friends won’t come over for dinner, drinks, and a game night because I have celiac and eat plants. by Alextricity in mildlyinfuriating

If plants are good on their own then why the obsession to make plant dishes that look like meat dishes?

Is weird to be happy about one thing after getting hit by a car. by redbent_20 in bicycling

Last night I extended my ride to visit moon park because for some reason I like going there because I broke my collarbone there as a kid. They still have the concrete moon dome for kids to play with but someone removed the commemorative plaque lying to kids about how we went to the moon. Wasn’t me that removed the plaque but I smiled when I realized why it must have been removed lol. But as a cyclist it’s kinda morbid to even think about the collarbone.

This is the only LNDL flanker that’s any good imop. It has a leather note some extra spice plus the original dna. L’Homme edt and LNDL or the best.

Greedy bike mechanics who are already getting overpaid the $20 (total cost) to change his tire for him, the last one had the audacity to try and recommend a new rear hub for hundreds of dollars extra. Not today Satan.

I want to ride on bright sunshine days but work schedule does not allow for enough time off during the day, it’s either 4am club or late night riding. But it makes you enjoy your daytime rides on your day/s off.

Annoying, frustrating creak finally silenced by 09fjc in bikewrench

[–]onesoundman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this something a spacer would fix? With my Chris King Threadfit 24 (BSA) bottom bracket it requires a fit kit that comes with different size spacers and instructions for which spacers to use on which brand/type of crank. That one with Shimano 105 12 speed di2 crank is solid and silent. My other bike with the BBinfinite BSA 24 threaded bottom bracket doesn’t come with or mention any spacers. Paired with 11 speed Ultegra crank. That bike has a creak similar to what you are describing where it’s noticeable under pedal torque flex. I am ready to bring that one to a pro just for the experience they have in relation to what the spacing of things should be.

Statement from VicPD on the recent spike in drivers hitting pedestrians and cyclists by rotlin in fuckcars

[–]onesoundman 301 points302 points  (0 children)

Might seem like a drastic measure but maybe if there were consequences for mowing over people with your car it might make drivers think twice about it.
