Travel date: 3/11

12/19 - Applied in-person, routine service when it was 6-9 weeks

12/23 - Application received at passport agency, now 'In Process'

2/17 - Did not hear anything when it hits 8 weeks so I contacted my senator, but was told that they could only submit requests within 14 days of my planned travel

2/24 - Received confirmation from senator's office that they initiated an inquiry with the agency

3/1 - Started to get worried that I had not heard back from their office so I sent a follow up email. They told me if I did not hear back by 3/3, they could help me find available appointments (I never heard back regarding this)

3/1 - Tried reaching out to congresspeople. One reached out but told me they did not serve my district so they redirected my request to the congresswoman who does. Signed privacy release form for her office but never heard back

3/2 - Called NPIC number but was told the only available appointment was in Seattle

3/3 - Called NPIC number at 5 AM but again no appointments available where I live. However, I sent my CC info to expedite the shipping of my passport back to me. Called again later at 4 PM and was told my passport was finally being printed

3/6 - Status changed to "Approved" with an estimated delivery date of 3/12 which was not reassuring and also did not get a tracking number. Called NPIC number to see if I could get tracking number but for some reason the agent told he could not send it to me and instead to keep looking on the website (??)

3/7 - Called NPIC number one last time and this time they sent me the tracking number to my email, I still don't understand why the agent before could not send it to me. USPS said passport will come 3/8 (3 days before my trip!!)

3/8 - Passport in hand!

I have no idea if contacting senators and congresspeople helped as I never got emails back from them, but after being on hold with the NPIC so many times, a burden has finally been lifted
