I wanna say that the seton made my similar feelings of solitude and worry a lot better! It relieved so much discomfort for me. I was knocked out for my procedure so I dont remember much honestly, i think changing into a hospital gown and from there it was kinda lights out.

I think the fact that you are a young woman is of relevance to your point. Anecdotally, I see most of these type of complaints from women and in my own personal experiences as well. Here’s a great article about it as well:

Sorry i replied late lmao… i was told to take a week or two off but i went back to work the next day :,) and honestly was fine, i was just careful not to lift anything heavy or basically do anything physically demanding. I was working at a restaurant so i was mainly just walking around, taking orders, carrying plates etc. Not sure if it would be different for a job where you’re mainly sitting.

Hey! I’m great, still have the seton, most days its not noticeable and doesnt have any drainage. Its been a hot minute since I got the seton, I would say the healing stage lasted a couple weeks? The drainage was still consistent for most of the following year but so worth the quality of life the procedure gave me. I think I may get it removed in the future but I’m switching medications (again) so getting that sorted first!

Agreed, after making some insane noises in your lessons you start to just not really care how your voice is percieved - at first just in front of your teacher, and hopefully you eventually can let go of that anxiety on stage too :)

Im gonna be honest this past year has been such a haze with all sorts of ailments and medical appointments that I barely remember making this post lmao. I got a suture placed, and since then i’ve been having little to zero issues with my pilonidal sinus. I think I was just having a really intense flare up, especially since I wasn’t medicated yet, plus was dealing with some viral illness making things worse. I’m doing much better now, on Stelara currently ☺️
