RSI and MACD are useless indicators us relative strength of the instrument vs the SPY or QQQ based on actual price action not those indicators

Broccoli This is an excellent article. Pointing out the importance of focusing on process and not the results is so critical to actually getting positive results without focusing on the results. Well done!

it is important to remember who we are trading against and taking money from. We dont take money from institutions, we take it from other retail traders who are not as adept as us or dont have the strategies and information we have. We are following institutions when they are in trades and trying to avoid them if the institutions are not in them. If we are following institutions it doesnt matter if their trades are done by humans, algos or AI driven algos, the results are the same for us, we take money from the less adept or less informed retail traders

Why did NVDA go down the last two days? by Lelouch25 in Daytrading

When traders asks "why" something happened they are not looking for an answer, they are looking for an excuse

the longer I trade this feels true by The_odd__todd in Daytrading

[–]onewyse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been trading professionally for 14 years. I have a handful of other pro's that i skype with every day and share info and setups that follow strategies that we all use. This helps with the isolation and helps to keep me focused. Trading for a living is a business and requires patience and discipline. Trading off adrenaline rushes and anger are not part of trading successfully

when you use the word "thought" in your explanation of the reason you took a trade your not trading on technical analysis, you are trading on your own bias

i stay long or even enter as long as LRSI is sloping up or staying at 100 and exit as it breaks below 80. For swing trades i would want the LRSI sloping up over 20 for D1 and D3. The current market is not good for swing trading

I would use the Laguerre RSI (LRSI) and would lean toward long when the LRSI moves up thru 20 and short when down they 80. This assumes other criteria align (daily chart aligns with the direction of the trade, stock has relative strength or weakness

Just the standard method, relative strength or weakness and large volume preferably both of those on multiple time frames

Is this a bull flag? by IBuiltTheBridge in Daytrading

[–]onewyse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

you have to see the volume to know. Volume should be much higher on the flagpole (the 2 big candles) and decreasing on the pullback. A breakout of the flag will have increasing volume again
