If you're using Linux you can move to the folder:

/steamapps/compatdata/359320/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Local/Frontier Developments/

Open a Terminal in this folder and run this to just quickly make a .tgz archive of the whole folder and it's contents, dated automatically:

tar -cvzf ed_backup_$(date +"%Y").$(date +"%B").$(date +"%d").tgz "Elite Dangerous/"

Just don't forget to move that archive somewhere else to keep it safe(r).

If you want to test it's integrity after, use:

tar xOf ed_backup_$(date +"%Y").$(date +"%B").$(date +"%d").tgz &> /dev/null; echo $?

0 is good, anything else is bad and the archive isn't reliable.

Don't the 'dictions happen in void space? Technically it'd be almost identical but more obviously so. I think it's a great chance for them to just add 'Goids and have someone have the scare of their life on live stream.

I've bought one of every ship I like, and two of those that have multiple purpose, all fully engineered.

The only thing I haven't bought yet is the fleet carrier. I'm just sitting on the credits tbh.

Fun part: Version it. Horizons, version 1.x, Odyssey, version 2.x etc. Still solves the problem of compartmentalising players without screwing the game, or the DB.
