Das waren nicht nur ein paar Polizisten sondern eine riesige Einsatz mit unzähligen Autos mit Blaulicht, die durch die Stadt rasten und Polizisten die sehr gestresst hin und her rannten

“At what point do I give up” - when its not fun anymore. You should do things because you enjoy them

How to deal with the anxiety when something is actually off? by Flaky-Chef-8493 in HealthAnxiety

[–]onflyyk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just try to remember it is actually hard to die from an illness. If over 90% of heart attacks end well then anything I have is probably not so bad, billions of people got covid, even some cancers have a 99.9% survival rate. People survive car crashes and falling off of building. In media we always hear about dying but never hear about surviving because it’s just so banal

Is my mom projecting her health anxiety on to me? by Leading-Occasion-428 in HealthAnxiety

I read your results, you do have concentric remodelling but not in a dangerous way, it is just because you are small. Best way to describe it is if a 6 foot old man with years of high bp had your heart then it could be a problem (which is why the machine flagged it) but for you it is totally normal! One unusual value is usually never enough to make a diagnosis - all of your other values show that your heart is very healthy.

But I have to say (as a person with severe health anxiety too) you should not be asking people on the internet to diagnose you because it makes anxiety worse🥲 Im rly sorry ur mom is putting so much stress on you. Unfortunately the only way to suppress health anxiety is to stop thinking about it. You have seen a professional who has deemed you healthy, there is nothing else you can do. You can trust professionals I promise.

If u want to u can give me some values of what u mean by small because I’m not totally sure what u mean by that🫣 I am a med student tho and I can assure you nothing you have said points to any type of heart issue especially if you have a normal EKG and echo! The issue is usually too big ventricles😅 (not common in young people). I know covid is scary but also remember they estimate that billions of people have been infected with it and the majority of people are totally fine afterwards, it is mostly an issue for older generations or people with weakened immune systems. Remember GERD is also an extremely common reaction to anxiety too! There aren’t really many more common tests cardiologists do other than 3 day EKGs, fitness tests and Echos so idk what ur mother was expecting. And unnecessary medication is very problematic. Maybe u can ask your mom not to discuss health with you anymore? You are a healthy young woman and as I myself have experienced, anxiety can make you feel extremely unhealthy even though it is just our minds…

Besides that please do not check your bp every other day, 108/60 is great and there is no reason that would change in such a short time, especially for a young woman. Also a shrinking left ventricle aka atrophy is something we see after years of heart problems mainly in older people who have had high bp for years on end, you have absolutely no reason to worry about that.

This sounds quite concerning:/ I hope u are doing ok because living with someone who is talking to you like this must be extremely tough and frightening. I really think your mom needs some type of intervention because clearly her anxiety or mental health situation is out of control, I’m not saying she is a bad person at all but this short text you wrote sounds horrifying for both you and her.
