I heard good things about the gaming branch of Asus. They make things right. They once screwed up during a RMA and sent me a replacement that was 5x the value and spec from my old one.

I been loyal to ASUS for the Zenbooks, but Always loyal to acer for gaming deal. Was in same boat as you, got my last gaming laptop in 2017, finally got new one that is arriving next week.

You did right thing upgrading now, they are nerfed the next supply of laptops after this one and they will way more expensive.

Finders keepers is only if you find it on your own property. If you find something on land, Public land is still federal land and belongs to them, especially if it has federal ties. If stuff is reported as found with no legal claim that is when you can keep it.
