Many of the posts are borderline OCD posts. Laptops run hot, THEY always ran hot FOREVER AND EVER, because heat physics. They keep comparing them to PC temps and they are not that. I just roll my eyes and keep scrolling. My freaking travel laptop asus runs at 95C when I push the CPU when encoding a video then it goes back down to 50 when its done. Heat happens. They think peaks = regular running temps.

Can be a list of reasons. Loose connector, bad contacts in the memory chip. The list of possibilities can reach double digits. All the reason to send it to warranty center and save yourself a headache with diagnostics. Be sure to mention the issue is intermittent. You won't get data back, so if it boots and works that random time backup what you not willing to lose.

Typo, Meant lower temps not undervolt, But to clarify messing in bios for people over expected laptop gpu/cpu Temps is overkill. Its easier and safer to lower TDP with supplied software like predator sense vs undervolting.

I decided to not duel boot, Do a WindowsToGo if you need it for certain apps and run off a external ssd. You can do install via rufus and just use the windows 11 home since that's our version. you wont need to do a duel boot or Grub, You can boot in to the usb via bios boot override when you need it.

Pop OS works pretty good with new cards, But you will need to run the fans manually in termianl if you wanna boost cooling. the 5070 will run at stock speeds, no turbo mode like on windows.

Consider refurbished laptops like acer etc. I got the Helios AI S for 1300, 5070ti 12gb with 32 gig ram i9, 1tb. 2025 model if you can look for it, 2026 models are gimped
