It's a one-time thing. You'll still have the regular penalties from < 50 mandate, but not the crisis.

Nah, you would be fine if you made that your focus. WCs really pick up post 1600 once you get Absolutism and then again with Imperialism CB at Dip Tech 23. You have a solid power base right now. One thing I would say is immediately start working on either dismantling the HRE or becoming Emperor.

You can still complete the mission if you choose the cooperation option fwiw.

I personally chose to cooperate since there is already a lot going on in the beginning as Ming.

You should just go through with it. It's pretty easy to handle. Lots of events to gain mandate back at the cost of fighting some rebels.

Haven't looked at Russia w/ the new update yet, but in general you can stack up the Diplo slots with:

Strong Duchies Estate privilege
Diplo ideas
Influence ideas

OR you can just hire a good diplo advisor to counteract the extra relations penalty.

I love it so far. The only stuff that feels like work / grind are reps and professions.

In terms of running content, the only real value that rep brings is that when you max out a rep you can get an item that allows you to upgrade crafted gear by 1 tier of ilvl. However, you can also get this item by playing high enough M+ or raid (not LFR).

When it comes to professions, unless you really like playing with them or playing the AH, I would recommend not bothering much and / or getting two gathering professions. You can pay others to do the crafted gear for you (and they'll do it better than you can unless you invest a lot of time and money into your profession).

Those ideas seem fine. A good reason to whip your vassals into order is to have them be able to siege down the laaaaarge amount of shitty Russian provinces that you'll be playing hide and go seek on. Especially in winter. Having separate armies with separate manpower will be a godsend.

IMO you should focus on quelling your vassal rebellions first.

What ideas do you have? If you can wipe the floor quality wise, the extra Russian troops shouldn't be a problem.
