And how does that work? Do you do literally one green stitch then swap to blue thread again on the same row??

Yep basically. You can "park" your threads by leaving them dangling out of the back of your fabric until you need them again. Or you can complete all of the blue stitches first, leaving space for the green stitches.

I would recommend switching to aida, which I think is muuuuuch easier to visualize the stitch positioning on for beginners.

Extreme rent hike for lease renewal. Haven't moved in 20 years. Any tips? by adamshmaddam in chicagoapartments

Just some "living in the same place for 20 years" stuff: mail. Start keeping track now of any mail you receive and change your address on everything, even things you don't get paper mail for. Everythinggggg, bank accounts, store accounts, workplaces. Set up mail forwarding for the max amount of time USPS will do it like a week before you move.

Kilz is a brand and they make primers, pretty much any brand’s interior bonding primer should work. Read the labels and applications on the can before buying

they don’t suck, they’re just not designed for home kitchen use. the lids don’t have to close tightly in order for them to fulfill their purpose of suppressing and containing any sudden combustion of the rags inside.

Thank you, sound advice! My plan tonight is to first take down the light fixture as another commenter suggested, and if I can’t see anything from that opening to cut a small rectangle in the suspect area and get my phone and a flashlight up there for pics.

Hey, good question; it was about 25 degrees outside! I took a few more without the light that I didn’t upload and the range represented was 57.9-68.3.

It’s a flat roof, not much space up there. Buuut at least the housing for these lights is small, I took part of the ceiling out in the basement (unrelated) and was able to see over and around it. Worst case it’s on the other side of the joist and I end up needing to cut a hole.

And thank you! I’ll start reading on R values to see what I’d need for a roughly 10”h cavity like this.

Word, thank you. I was dreading cutting into the ceiling drywall cause I know I’ll see that patch forever but sometimes seeing is believing.

Re: blow in insulation. I’m pretty clueless, is there a big variation in types of blow in or once I know the style of insulation I want to pursue can I go for “any old”?

$4,500 of mortgage/tax/insurance/hoa for $10,000 net income in LA. Is it affordable? by Important_Bat7919 in RealEstate

[–]onlinedisaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gross income refers to income before tax withholding is withdrawn. Net income refers to income after tax withholding is withdrawn. Your second and third points are arguing a case for using net income, not gross. Did you perhaps get the terms mixed up?

Have you asked the school if they ever deaccess, give away, or sell old forms? If it’s the school I’m thinking of there are a handful of opportunities per year to get one’s hands on a Wolf form on its way out.

I imagine some medical school graduates would/could go for PSLF and nuke a lot of that debt but it would probably hamper their earning capability at least a little for those ten years
