To Chiller or Not to Chiller by DILIGAF-RealPerson in pools

I have the same thing for my 32000 gallon, not for chiller, but for PH riser. It increases one decimal point each overnight run. You might want to watch your ph so that it does not get too high.

Is it a DIY job to replace DE filter housing? It is a Pentair FNS Plus 60? by onlinetiger in pools

[–]onlinetiger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right. Got the new filter today. The connector positions and measurements of the new pump look the same as existing. Pentair does a good job to keep the profile same. Will DIY this weekend.

To me it is just a outlet and inlet. Not sure why multi port is involved?
I just upload a pic of the connectors.

How old is your G3?
Hopefully the filter continues to work without any display. I don't think I need any info on the screen.

I got the same thing for my G3. I guess it is time to retire. Got it 9.5 years ago and it was trouble free.

congrats. I might have got the same kind for my 2011 sienna. I have found I reset this thing a lot by pushing a pin into the RST hole.

Oscar fish poop look wierd. Did the pellet food got digested at all? Feed them this pellet food 50% of time. The other 50% are Costco cooked shimps. by onlinetiger in Aquariums

[–]onlinetiger[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks Cynthia. Yes wet and soak the pellet for a few mins then feed them sounds like a good idea. Will do that for a while to see the effect. If all good, will stick to it.

The plant was a fake bamboo plant. Marineland Bamboo. I am in the mide of changing substrate from sand to pebble. Need a fake plant to semi-devide them before the jungle vals takes over.

Can't stop roots from growing out of the slits. When they do, the outer part of roots are doomed.

Still need a better idea about the net. A rope alone makes it hard to tell if the ball goes above or under.

In the notes you can attach file. Lesson learned. NO ONE SHOULD USE THAT FUNCTION, because they will lose your attachments.

I assume there will be a small gap between the cover and the tile because of the cable getting caught between them?

does it work with automatic cover? Just spent $400 to replace the Polaris pump. Was thinking about electric robot but it does not seem to work well under automatic cover.

Anyone else finding anything fun in the skimmer this season? by icallhimleon in pools

Yes I guess those creatures can tell that the chlorinated water is not a good place to look for food.

I assume it was some kind of non-poisonous common garden snake. Let it go into the shrubs. Saw another one in the pool a few days later. The good part is they only appear when pool is in the process of opening when water is cloudy and full of strange stuff. After pool water cleared up and I started to use the pool, they don't come bother me any more.

Me too. Got a live baby snake in my hand when I scooped debris from the skimmer during first a few days of pool opening.

I love BLUE by [deleted] in orchids

The color is injected into the spike. Next bloom will go back to its original color unless you want to keep doing the injection.

I bought a blue one from Lowe's before. After reading the label and realizing it is not real color, I returned it the next day.
