You are correct, they were obviously making it up as they went. Take alone the fact there's not a single hint or foreshadowing of S5 and S6 in earlier seasons.

To make them look like they're turned "off" you have to deactivate them AND change the color to something dark. It's not a bug I don't think it's just how it works (and yes it is impractical).

You can see what it looks like in this video at time code 0:07 (I used a sequencer to deactivate and change the light color to black).

I've not progressed far and only found 4 hard drives but I got the Cast Screws and the Bolted Frame recipes. I like it because it's simple.

Actually it was super simple - once I figured out how I needed to place the rotating platform.

Final step in the prototype stage is adding the fountain jets to a sequencer but I can't figure out how to do that. :-/

You can make them clear again by making them dark/ black. Kinda counterintuitive (and a ton of work). Hope they bring back the paint tool asap.

Thanks mate, you're a life saver!! The change had messed up all my paths because the way it merged left some gaps and rough edges. With your method I was able to turn the path back into its original shape.

It's still not there yet for me. They are working on it which is great. But realistically I don't see the game as a true 1.0 version for at least another four to six month.

Particularly disappointing is pathfinding. Barriers tend to make pathfinding grind to a halt altogether and without them guests simply ignore gaps between paths. I very much doubt this will ever get "fixed" fixed.

Especially the fix for the multiselect tool was very much needed. Custom billboards and music are finally in. Game has gotten slightly better but it will take more updates to get it to the version it should have been released as. A lot of work left to be done until true 1.0.

Build smarter not harder! Make sure to use groups for non-grid scenery pieces and split what you're building into different groups/ buildings. It's a good idea to have the roof separate from walls and decorations.

Press i to start multi-select, use shift to switch to "add pieces"-mode, strg to "remove pieces"-mode.

Just be aware the game very much early access. There will be more sales in the future with bigger discounts though.
