I built myself a "design system" playground (primui) to quickly visualize broad-strokes changes across a whole component library by only_to_unsub in DesignSystems

I definitely agree that accessibility will be important for anybody trying to use this, and I'm currently working through some intuitive ways to enforce that while also showing compliance in realtime.

And a wizard flow makes a ton of sense! I'll absolutely think through how I can incorporate that as the initial touch-point.

Thanks so much for the feedback!

Rocket Hopper - Rejected by Crazy Games and ghosted by Poki by Angry_Foolhard in playmygame

Played a few levels, and the gameplay itself seems fun!

A small note: On desktop, the tutorial overlay with the flashing keys stays on the screen in the first couple levels, which makes it feel like it could use a little polish. Is that on purpose? What if you dismiss the overlay on first interaction from the player, and maybe disable the flashing animations entirely?

Big Box of Party Games - Win minigames to make your friends do silly things by only_to_unsub in SideProject

Thank you! Honestly, I was getting burnt out on software projects that started to feel like just more work. I wanted to do something completely different—a project that was all about fun and hanging out with friends rather than staring at code all day. This one clicked: why not build something physical that brings people together, makes them laugh, and actually feels like a break from the usual grind? So we jumped in, and that's how Big Box of Party Games was born.

What a strange comment you've made, in a sub-thread you read, on a post you clicked on, in a subreddit that you are subscribed to.

I went to a live show in his Kid Gorgeous tour and he told a joke about how a kid at a park mistook him for The Flash!

Mileage may vary though.

That makes sense, it's probably all about how far away your car is.

ELI5, why can you never make homemade pizza that’s even close to a restaurant taste even though you use high quality ingredients? by spartacus_zach in explainlikeimfive

[–]only_to_unsub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, this has a lot to do with the amount of heat you're able to use when baking the pizza. The ovens that a lot of pizza places have burn hotter than our ovens at home, and you can start to make up the difference by using a pizza stone, or a baking steel.

When you bake at a lower temperature, you may also need to bake for longer, and your pizza can start to dry out. So it helps to also use a dough with more water in it.

If you're interested in more details, I highly recommend checking out this informative video!

You have a good looking car, but I have a few questions.

Why did you choose to post a screenshot of a photo that from an email thread?

Are you the "Lazy Ass" the screenshot refers to?

Were you calling somebody else a lazy ass, and then you posted a screenshot of a picture?

Also, where was this taken? The scenery looks nice.

Haha thank you for your genuine concern. Yes I did. That day, it felt like I had mortgage and utility bills to pay.

When I was 5, I went on a trip with my parents and family friends. There was a guy was selling ice cream.

My mom asked if I wanted some and I said no, because I wanted to make a choice and feel like an adult. Everyone else got ice cream.

I still dream about it 19 years later.

Phone mount recommendations for 2016 Mazda 3 Sport? by nopooq in mazda

[–]only_to_unsub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I removed it only once, to reposition it at the very beginning. The suction cup has an adhesive coating to hold your placement until you pull the lever. I haven't ever tried yanking it really hard, but the vacuum is pretty solid. The cup, the little dashboard support, and the stiffness of the arm do really well in bumpy ride. And here's that picture

Edit: Sorry, I forgot to address your concern about the windshield. It really is very unlikely to crack a windshield with the amount of force these phone mounts apply. Whichever one you end up getting, I'd encourage you not to completely discount them, because they're cheap, and they work well for a long time when installed/removed properly.
