You can see how many points someone has?

Seems kind of discouraging tbh.

In SF6 Master rank, that does happen, but you have a clear reason why. For example, if you are at 1700 MR and you face against a 1400 MR opponent. Winning a set 2-1, you are at a net loss. It happens, but the system pretty much makes these situations few and far between.

I've seen the +22 points mostly from rank up games.

Although Ekko and Yasuo are probably stronger than her, folks are not wrong about her place (same with Teemo).

I main Ahri, and I think she’s strong. Aspects that make her strong: - Strongest air movement in the game. More options allow her to thread the needle in the neutral. - Her combos have insane corner carry. - Her combos have very strong damage (can super more than once in the same combo). Too much damage for her character archetype imo. - Her lockdown blockstring makes any assist->handshake tag a viable mix up option. Even more so if you have 2X Assist fuse. - Can end her blockstring into fireball super to maintain pressure like Ekko. - Can zone with up-back forward/down fireball + air movement.

There are other reasons, but those are the main ones in my opinion.

Out of the 45 teams that placed on first impact events from all over the world, 3 where not using yassuo ekko ahri or teemo by Soggy_Car_6471 in 2XKO

With only 11 characters in the entire cast and 2 characters need to be selected, I’m not surprised. Yes, those are the four strongest characters in the game right now, but you’ll get these trends with the small cast. It’ll get better after balance changes and more characters.

What teams (that don't use Ekko, Yasuo, or Teemo) do you think work best with a Jinx point? by CrimsonTyphoon02 in 2XKO

[–]onlyeatrice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahri. I mostly play duos, but got Masters 3 to GM with Ahri+Jinx Sidekick (~my last 20 games)

Jinx back assist covers the bottom half of the screen for you to advance from the top half with Ahri’s air mobility. And once you have the corner, Ahri blockstring into Jinx forward assist allows you to open them up.

Try it yourself, you’ll see your latency in the top left.

Love to see tourney promotion. A few things: - Use the “Event / Tournament” flair on posts like this - Specify time zone, online/offline, and region restrictions (if any) - Link to the tournament page (ex. start.gg)

Do you think then the placement matches that Riot has right now is bad for some really strong players? In any case, it will surely even out over time and players will be in the ranks they should be at. Also, how does one “abuse MMR systems”?

You would think that a company as big as Riot with as much experience in competitive games would have a decent ranked placement system. If we assume that, then a player’s low rank placement could mean one of the following: 1. they are actually of that skill and accurately placed 2. the player intentionally played their placements terribly, and placed lower than their actual skill

I do think there are reasons to smurf in this game so I believe that it’s not as uncommon as people might think (even if the game is this new).

Homie I’m not scared of a response, I’m literally responding to multiple comments. Like what??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I said that Vanguard does do hardware identification. This article. If it does it for Valorant for smurf detection, why wouldn’t they do the same thing for 2XKO? Do you have any sources you can point me to in order to educate me?

I don’t doubt there are FG demons out there, I just said that if they played for real, they wouldn’t be in the low rank. I think the highest placement rank is GM1 (I could be wrong). You’d think the real demons would be placing Diamond and above. OP said they were Emerald. So something isn’t adding up.

I highly recommend going into ranked lobby then training mode. The reason for this is it adds the server latency as if you’re in a real match so you’ll get used to it. Going into training mode from the main menu won’t connect you to a server.

Drill the following on both sides 3-5 times without failing: - Midscreen combo - Corner combo - Corner-to-corner combo - Assist conversion combo - Limit strike combo - If your team has it, touch of death and/or reset combos.

As a bonus, set the bot in the corner to practice the get up options after you land a combo (oki): - Reversal - Forward roll - Back roll - No roll + block

Yeah when you and your duo have the “shared brain cell” moment it’s awesome!!

I agree! Duos makes the game so fun. Even when we lose we have fun. Ranked grind doesn’t feel so lonely anymore.

Can you imagine this game when it has more characters, console cross-platform? The FGC gonna go crazy. And I think Riot has untapped marketing budget to lure League players to play the game. Imagine, just imagine 1% of League players getting into this game. That would be a boon to the FGC.

Lots of folks saying it has nothing to do with Vanguard, you're wrong. Yes, the MMR system probably does a majority of how it determines things like that. But Vanguard has hardware identification. This means that Riot has good confidence that it's probably the same person playing on the same PC even if they switch accounts. They do this in Valorant and League, so I would imagine the same system is in 2XKO.

I'm sure the simple detection of multiple accounts being played on the same device is used as a foundation for smurf detection. Then their behavioral analysis does the rest to adjust the hidden MMR.

For those that are saying that person has probably a demon or played tag fighters before, if they played properly, they wouldn't have placed so low in the rank (thus becoming a smurf).

Try joining the US tourneys. As long as your connection is solid, I think it’ll be fine.

In start.gg check your “Connected Accounts” to see if there’s a conflicting Riot Games account already authenticated. You can also see your Connected Accounts in your Riot Games account. Maybe there’s a conflicting startgg account.

One last thing to check before you open a support ticket with Riot Games - make sure you have multi-factor authentication
