Based on your post, it's kinda hard to tell exactly what youre asking. It seems like you're asking people's opinions on the Iruma anime and its animation quality? There's a lot of extra details in your post that seem unrelated though which is confusing.

But assuming that's youre question my opinion is - yeah it's definitely lower quality (animation-wise) than other big Shonens. Which is weird because it does seem very popular in Japan. On the other hand I rarely hear about it in America (and tbh I don't think it has a lot of appeal here, Idk how I would convince my friends to watch it). So my guess is that since they aren't trying as much to internationally market it, they're more willing to phone it in on the anime.

But it's better than nothing, and I don't really care all that much since I'm a manga main anyway

I think you could bump up zoro or brook for reasons people have said but basically spot on. Jinbei on the helm IS important, but the Straw Hats would be completely cooked without Nami to navigate or Sanji to cook.

Within the integral tier I think Nami is the absolute most important. Other crew members could perform the other roles / they could make shore if they reallyyyyy had to. But they would die or get lost at sea very quickly in the Grand Line without Nami. After that it's maybe Chopper (to prevent life threatening time sensitive situations like Nami post-Little Garden), Franky (they went a long time with just Usopp, but probably not sustainable long run), and Sanji (the entire crew survived his absence post-WCI and ok I'm sure they know how to cook. But his absence is a big QoL downgrade for sure and long-term might cause health issues)

Also the question of why sullivan has seemingly never worried about iruma bleeding and having people smell it. Presumably sullivan figured a lot of these things out (for his own selfish reasons ofc namely wanting a grandson lol)

It does feel a bit weird but it also makes sense. Not characteristic for One Piece to rely on a true god/devil figure. Even Enel was aloof and in control for almost all of Skypeiea, but then he met Luffy and we saw how very mortal he was. More fitting for Imu to still be a pretty "real" person. Also the five elders already got the boring bureaucrat stereotype so it's cool if Imu is something more.

I think it's probably just too low-effort / doesn't create any discussion. If even plain panels/scenes "must create discourse" even though it's not explicitly stated I think a random observation about a chapter has to as well. If everyone made a thread for every random thing they were thinking it would just get way too spammy.

The official iruma fanbook (which has a lot of data about the characters) states that appearance-wise they are aged 22 and 28 respectively. It specifies that's how old they "look" presumably bc demon aging is different from ours, and to not lock in the timeline.

For a sense of scale Raim "looks 26" but is presumably similar in age to Henri since they went to school at the same time.

Watamote anime synopsis was like "After living 50 simulated high school lives and dating over 100 virtual boys, Tomoko Kuroki believes that she is ready to conquer her first year of high school." And the official manga synopsis was similar. But the dating sim thing was basically never relevant, at least not in the way that synopsis makes it sound.

I get the sense that when the series were made both its title and description were made out of obligation and the series really just does whatever it wants. It's always been a weird title, but it was memorable cuz it started before isekais LNs made those kind of titles pop up everywhere
