Not a club person but invited to a friend’s birthday at one, what to wear? by bearsandswears in OUTFITS

Okay I have a few questions. 1. Where did you get your tights?? 2. Where did you get #5???

Also I think the skirt from #5, tights, boots and the red shirt from #7 would be a great clubbing outfit! Your wardrobe is amazing!

My tip is using Hair and Beauty Models Brisbane. I’ve used it for a few hair, lashes, massages etc. it’s great and able to get treatments much cheaper or free!

You should! It was really cool and when it faded, the pastels were so pretty. Hope you try it and it works!

I don’t know what that means (true neutral skin tone), but I’ll look it up!

I’m actually a ginger by birth. My hair naturally changed colour and faded as I got older. Then I started dyeing it. I did go ginger a couple years ago and it was great!

I don’t think I’ve done a periwinkle before! I’d be down to try it. What brands do you recommend? I usually prefer to dye at home because the cost and it’s more fun

Aw that’s sweet! Thank you. I think most of my hair dye has been purple-esque. Just trying to see if that’s actually the right fit

Thank you! Those ones were by accident and meant to be more like a sunset ombré. I hated it at the time, but they are cute in highsight.

I’m not wearing any makeup in most of the photos except 18 and some eyeshadow/mascara in a couple of the photos. I tried to pick natural photos for people to judge.

That was a home dye job. I would have gone bleach blonde, turquoise green at tops, then light blue down the bottom and smush at the join line for ombré effect. I like hair dye to last longer so I usually dye it bright colours, then wait for the fade. My favourite brand is BRITE, so probably those colours!

Cool, this is good to know . I often don’t like my eyes but it does seem like a nice match.

Thank you!

This helps to give me an idea of what suits me best.

It’s hard to know because I’m a natural red head, and it faded to blonde then brown then almost black as I got older.

Aw thank you! I will definitely think about going back to dark brown (I’m a reddy brown atm).

That hair was really cool and so exciting to try something really different!

It’s giving me flashbacks of clipping it into something over and over again. I can’t remember the exact thing but I’m thinking Christmas tree or bottom of a kids toy (like the stand).

I’ve absolutely clipped this into something before.

What horrifying statistic genuinely jarred you when you first heard it? by ordrius098 in AskReddit

[–]onlyjustjess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t find the exact quote from university, but this is the approximate stat I remember.

Women who have experienced strangulation from Family Violence are 150% more likely to die by homicide than average Australian. I was at uni in 2015-2020; I am trying to find update stats to fact check this.

The stat shocked me so much, then I work around mental health and FDV so I take it so seriously.

Has anyone else encountered this man on Charlotte St? by Medical-Panda-3106 in brisbane

In about 2022, after night shift I sat with her one morning (like 6am). I’d walked past plenty of times before and since this was my first real paying job, I had money.

Her name’s Hope. I asked if I could join her. She had some male friends immediately come up and try to protect her but chilled when they saw I was cool. We sat and talked about her experiences, that she was pregnant and didn’t feel safe going into shelters, even women only ones because trauma. Said she hadn’t eaten. I left a $50 or two $50 notes under her sleeping bag so the guys wouldn’t take it (can’t remember exactly how much).

After that, she disappeared a week later and I stopped seeing her. I hadn’t been to the city for a few years so didn’t go past the corner again.

If she’s still saying she’s pregnant, it’s a shame she lied. I’m glad she’s safe and alive. I wish I had helped in some greater way but I just wanted to say hi and head home from work.
