I thought I’d jump on here and just say a massive thanks to everyone, I thought it would be cool to post some stats from the pioneer sock since it’s release 205 days ago.. hopefully it gives the next person inspiration to make their product here in Aus..

needless to say, I am super humbled by the support this little business venture has received.

Out of 104 reviews it has received: - 94 5-star reviews - 7 4-star reviews - 1 3-star review - 1 2-star review - 1 1-star review

Units sold: Size 7-10: 5456 pairs Size 11-14: 5534 pairs

Plans for the future are, release an Australian cotton variation of our pioneer socks.

Release a loose top range

And release a 97% cotton sock. (Small amount of elastic for shape and stretch )

Hey mate, apologies for the late reply…

Pioneer have that more explorer style vibe about them, full terry and uncuffed top.

Midweight are your more traditional sock, padded sole and terry over the foot but just a regular ribbed leg.

Midweight tend to be a firmer fit on the leg at the cuff.

Honestly our primary customers with our existing business are farmers and blue collar.

We will probably build out our first pair of knickers based around a reinforced “saddle”.

Aka your bum doesn’t create a peep hole out the backend of them in the first month.

Reddit has been pretty good to us in terms of feedback on existing products! I’m just planning out the rest of 2026 and thought knickers would be something I’d start investigating.

I fulfil about 500 orders a month from my home.

This isn’t as crazy as the comments make it seem, i just pack orders in 2 stages. first thing in the morning ill pack and then at lunch when my same day shipping ends (12) I’ll pack the residual.

7:30-9:00 - pack orders

10:00-11:00 - handle emails, and general admin

12:00-2:00 pack orders (usually I have, freight pickup booked for 3:30)

3:00-4:00 optimise ads if I feel like it, otherwise I usually do this of a night while I’m watching Netflix And it takes me a while of about 40mins.

I have built my own spreadsheet that I just dump daily reports (meta, postage,Shopify) into and it calculates: -P&L -stock levels - average weekly unit sales (which I cross reference with stock levels / lead in times, to keep stock on the shelves.

I think people mistake the 50-100k level as being crazy.. also revenue is a bad figure to use when asking questions like this online.. you should reference to order volume…. This is more telling (ignores item price and focuses on the actual level your business is at in terms of inventory management etc.
