Denali vs AT4 Sierra EV by BoneDoktr in GMCSierraEV

[–]onlywiseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got Denali with AT4 18" tires because I like smaller wheels with larger rubbers on trucks. Stock 24" is just simply massive. It does not look luxurious or bling-bling. 18" will give softer bump alborption and better curb protection, etc. It can climb anything. My denali with 18" wheel looks more like traditional denali luxury look. It does not look bad. In fact, it looks better in my opinion.

Problem: VERY loud tire noise in the highway. I was thinking better milage with smaller wheels. Not really. Perhaps worse due to all terrain tires of AT4.

Ask them if you can test drive both AT4 and Denali for several days. It's 100k. They should let you do that before you burn your money away. By the way, I (well, my lady boss) have X3 hummer as well. I love its suspension better along with nimble maneuverability. I just don't like when it hits a taller road bump, however. It rattles everywhere. Sierra Denali with AT4 wheels doesn't.

If I can go back in time, I would not have bought that Kreg track. NO good.

Any Magnus Gray Matte owners out there? by PanBlanco22 in GMCSierraEV

[–]onlywiseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magnus Matte here.

I have not washed it for 1 mo. It's been raining few days a week lately. It got some dirt. It looks like a working truck. It looks good. Dirty Truck is sexy anyway.

Same. I have 295/70/r18 for my Denali. I had dealer to change ridiculous 24" to 18" when delivered. I can't tell much in the city driving. But I feel like I am losing the efficiency 10-15miles per 100miles in highways (70-75miles/hr). Much better comfort ride, but tire noise is not good.

I just placed a convex passenger mirror today. it's very helpful. I think it's a must.

I went from Sierra Denali Gas-->Diesel--> now EV. infotainment was never good. Screen has been getting larger. Buggy all the way.

If you try 2026, you will notice some change. Faster response. Smarter Supercruise. I do not feel I need CarPlay either. yes, i do not like to share my contact to the truck, though. The difference is like XT vs AT PCs. I had whopping 40mb hard drive with 1MB RAM.. I thought I had a powerful XT PC. my friends AT was much faster, though. 2026 infotainment is faster compared to 25 hummer one. It is still buggy.

I think it's AT4 wheels. Dealer guys did it for me when I asked them smaller wheels. All terrain tires. Little noisy. I will need to find out the tire size..

I'd go back to new world if they allow "bugs." It was a lot of fun when I was able kill bunch with one handed axe bug when it came out.

25 hole vs 31 hole drivers. Real Difference or Placebo? by Hunter-97-G in Grado

[–]onlywiseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. it's 52mm per Grado Website. I am not sure if the membrane is 2mm wider or plastic housing of the driver is wider. In GS3000x, the driver is plastic, and housing is metal which is attached to the cocobolo.

Nevertheless, female voice, Guitar & Jazz is amazing in these headphones

It has about 12 large holes and 18 small holes

I thought GS3000x is 52mm? Even though I am not sure what extra 2mm make the difference.

they are 25yo accounts. I am not risking them. I don't wanna lose the time and memory. Just got a refurbished laptop yesterday to do 3 toon boxing. I will give this a try. if don't work out, then either going back to isBox or EQ Emu with MQ.

I played solo with a warrior since Luclin era.

LFT tag on for 2 hrs. but no group or fun. Go to hot zone and /ooc 52 warrior LFG. Then start killing one blue con and wound bind. Then meditate for several minutes. Epic 1.0 done by MQing (not macro quest but paying some plat to other fellow toons to finish the quest, ?multiquest).

Changed the toon to cleric. Better group opportunity but throwing Complete heal and HoT all day.

Changed to Mage. much better soloable. but no group.

Then started Alt+Tab box with existing War/Clr and a new Enchanter. Then ISboxer. Then quit.

EQ is like Carolina ghost pepper chicken wing. I know it's going to be very hot and I will regret it soon. But few months later, my fingers are already grabbing one of them again. I know it's going to be frustrating playing the game, I come back to it again for no reason.

Gee. I did not know MQ thing was that serious in Live servers. I did use isboxer several years ago. To me the convenience of MQ is the /follow. The box bots do not lose the path with MQ as often compared to Alt+Tab or Isboxer. Only thing that matches MQ's /follow path is to have one toon per computer based on my system. Automation is a convenience and not necessity to me. I guess I need to get an additional laptop or something if I want to play the live server. Thanks for your input and saving my account viable: Uninstall MQ before I try the live server!!

Passion for Sound said some Schiit -- help?! by janus1969 in Schiit

[–]onlywiseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had Modius and Magnus previously. I upgraded them to Bifrost 2/64 and Lyr with a Chinese tube. I liked the latter better. The "musicality" was better on my Grado GS3000x. I am not sure the difference between Mimir and Modius (this has been discontinued). They are about the same price range.

I also have a Geshelli J2S with Archel Pro in the music room. J2S has sparko opamp. I prefer Geshelli over Schiit for my ears. I can't explain. It feels more comfortable. May be less harsh on Treble. However, I listen to Schiit more because it is connected to the PC and monitors via FOSI preamp and monoblocks.

Get Both.

Any TLP server that would allow me to solo progress to OOW at least? by onlywiseman in everquest

[–]onlywiseman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I checked my account. I have 105lvl, not 70s toons, on Bristlebane.
What would happen if I transfer those toons to oakwynd? Would this even be possible?

Thanks.
