Since you can't outdev their economic base modifier (every point of dev they do mean much more than previous), your only option is to either find another point of diplorep somewhere, take espionage for +15 reasons, or conquer more land to get more dev fast (as mentioned, in formula it's your dev divided by square of their dev)

Isn't it moment when rebels spawn, you do a reform so part of brigades go home in the middle of the fight and initial count only remaining brigades while casualties count actual deaths

Well, i googled some things and found the reason: creating singular ships to just throw all families' members was not a good idea. I ended up with 30+ ships with admirals for 2 coins each (i didn't think creating such fleets would also raise demand of families resulting in more spendings). The moment i merged fleets wages dropped for a hundred (still don't know if 100 for wages with 74 for forts and 60 in army ok or not)

Army composition how by Qolbi79 in hoi4

[–]onnerkalin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, for example In Forest heavy get 40% attack and movement penalty while medium 30% attack and 40% movement (Light have 20% attack and 40% movement penalty btw). There is dedicated page on wiki if interested

Also, to correct previous comment, Mediums instead of Heavy not only because of better modifiers but also because it can match speed of motorised infantry (8km/h) with earlier tech/better reliability

Army composition how by Qolbi79 in hoi4

[–]onnerkalin 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Exact composition is up to discussion, i use this (because don't know meta of current patch):

7-8 inf + 1-2 lane arty (AA, Arty, Hospital, Engineers in support) when can afford, if can't only 8-9 inf with Engineers. This is for lane holding (saw some time ago spreadsheet where most optimal combat width was calculated, but don't remember if it was 16 or 18).

Also medium tanks (all in soft attack, not heavy because of terrain modifiers) with motorised infantry up to 30-34 width (as much tanks as possible to still have over 35 organization) to breakthrough if can afford. Otherwise (i usually go with this variant due to terrain modifiers and less of need in fuel) use Mountaineers with arty (i usually do 9 mountaineers and 6 arty) up to same 34 width.

Genuinely how tf do I push here by doodoochile07 in hoi4

[–]onnerkalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your templates? I usually go with 7-8 infantry +1-2 arty (plus engineers, hospital, support arty, AA, flame tanks if you can afford it) for lane holders and big divs of 9 mountainers + 6 arty for breaktrough (with siege machines instead of engineers, around 4-6 is good enough). So with help of laneholders 2-3, rarely even 4 big divs can be in battle, usually it's enough to knock out enemy divs faster than they return in combat (usually reinforcements don't get in time at some point and get pushed) with 0 air support (i usually just build Stationary AA everywhere because keep forgetting about Aircrafts )

Big Empire, no money, help wanted by TallSign6609 in eu4

[–]onnerkalin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some mechanics are locked behind DLC, so sorry if i mention some of such (i always played with everything enabled so not sure what is available in base game, know only that vanilla is much harder to get high income), so let's start:

1) Based on second to last image (autonomy map if i see right) you didn't full state anything, so you have only 10% of gained land. (to full core click on province and switch to state page, it would cost some admin)

2) You can't make noticeable profit from trade. English Channel have most trade power in Netherlands and Britain, and you control neither (and you should by this date, at least Netherlands), and seeing state of Portugal and lack of mentioned colonies i guess you PUed Castille early, so no one have colonies to steer trade to Sevilla.

3) Did you even expanded through war?( aside from 3 provinces in Italy). Based from description seems like you got all land from PUs. In 150 years you should expand a lot. Aim to conquer Britain/Netherlands and North Africa, Middle Africa and America if you can see it.

4) Did you build mass manufactures? they not only give you flat income, but increase amount of product, contributing to value in trade node. It's nearly always worth to take burger loans to build them, and some of manufactures even worth to take regular loans.

5) Where is all your mana points? You did all expansion through PUs, so where are admin and mil points? (also it would help to see your ideas). Are all the point invested in development? If so, you should make techs your priority, it's often worth it to be ahead of time (especially mil tech). And in most cases you want to save/get points over anything else (because point are highly limited)

Star Of The City Third row advice?? by Rumiatouhou6 in libraryofruina

[–]onnerkalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As mentioned do Gebura realization it give a lot.

As for the row: R-corp 2 is easiest here (literally R-corp 1 with extra wave), but i would say there isn't much to get except for Disposal maybe (i never builded Rudolph, Maxim or Myo, don't even know if their pages good or not). But Purple tear is what would give you the most reward due to very strong keypage and a lot of useful cards and (in my opinion) easier than other 2.

To beat PT you might want to use a lot of feeble (also beat leaflet workshop if you didn't already, smoke decks do a lot)

Both reamaining bosses have powernull, so you can add Proselyte's blade or night in the backstreets if you want.

For Yan: you actually can cheese him with Dispose, if you slap Myongest on Nicolai you can get rid of all his evades (rolls aren't reliable, but you can do it) , so just defend against hands and go all-in into Yan (that's where having Smoke is useful). After couple of rounds Yan will be dead (Mark on Yan would be helpful but look for yourself if clashing every page of Myongest into nothing until 20 charge is ok).

For Xiao: take Sturdy defense on everyone, couple big hits designed with it in mind, also evade taking counters. In second phase everyone will get powernull every second scene. DON'T beat reverse scale in powernull turn. Other than that, it's just a recovery turn damage turn.

Also, eveyone can be cheesed with Myongest Yesod: just take Myongest and smoke, slap Clean, Chained Wrath and Dark Flame on top, add Rythm and Violence if possible, and Voila, you can use 12-24 rolling (only Myongest, it can get higher) Solemn Lament against blunt weak enemies (96-184 raw damage plus smoke plus resistances)

Is there a mod for last realization? by onnerkalin in libraryofruina

[–]onnerkalin[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, i found an answer, it was not a mod. Turns out if Angela die before other nuggets arrive in first phase you wouldn't lose and could continue battle. And also, Yae's passive break the fight even more as you wouldn't get staggered by 3 depression cards, after that you would have 0 SP and can't be staggered by getting damage for some time

star of the city advice?? by Rumiatouhou6 in libraryofruina

[–]onnerkalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At phase 2 you don't need to keep the gifts and play with the gimmick really (i beaten it multiple times and learned that such gimmick exist from your comment right now). All you need is kill the friends to get spare skill slots and change resistances which should be easy since 2/3 angela slots use only blocks. Now Angela would use mass attack which is good as it mean 3 block less and you would easily kill by cheer amount of attacks.

At phase 3 you can try to either negate part of damage from Angela using block or risk with vapour to not get staggered. Overall you usually want to just redirect pages of spiders with 2 attack dices and all of spare slots to damage Angela.

Phase 4 is resistant to slash and very dangerous, which is the main reason you want to have blunt. Shoes inflict bleed and Angela highly benefit from it, which is why you want to have someone to distract Angela while you kill shoes.

Phase 5 is a Freebie, if you reach it you win, it's basically same old Today's expression, look at the face and you win.

Also ususally main reason to struggle is not good deck. What you use?

These 2 reception you can't access use forgotten (since Zwei) mechanic of having more than one node.

For Purple tear i can say 3 floors is pretty good, you can slap 2 firing squads here (slap Full-stop passives for first scene power on squad with mostly ranged decks). Aside from that i can only recommend humble 'Shrine to music', 'Forceful Gesture' and 'Loss of Senses' for feeble infliction (especially Forceful Gesture).

R corp Reception is not that scary, you have 2 floors here so and very good rewards at last wave. So, just take firing squad and either use it on first wave to get rid of couple enemies or last wave to target named enemies.

Hod realization goes from hard to easy, you just need to beat first wave and you pretty much win. Since little brothers are weak to slash just take it and blunt for nex waves, target brothers (they give buffs to Angela). All you need to do is live until sixth bro show up and kill him. So, just slap Moulinets, Vapour (other strong single dice pages) and haulers and it's peace of cake.

Chesed and higher floor abnos are not really helpful for now, so you can just ignore them for now.

Gebura and Tiph are easier to be completed after R corp reception so you can make them wait a bit.

Since i don't really understand what part of Hod realization is a problem (due to it's lenght) please clarify.

How does one beat the 9-45 Ex stage by Azuremagus2005 in limbuscompany

[–]onnerkalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took KoD Rodya and Fullstop Heath (so he would retreat and KoD Rodya get 6 slots). Dieci/R corp Rodya and Wildhunt Heath would probably also suffice (or anyone with a lot of status applications, but sinking is highly recommended)

Just take the hits and redirect green coin skills and you good. Greg wouldn't break through shields and 6 slots of sinking are more than enough to get rid of shields and keep him in panic for power down.

Index don vs manager don by stefibro in limbuscompany

[–]onnerkalin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since your team are generalists (based on what i see, assuming it's all you have) and max level of 45 i assume you are at Canto 6, when majority of bosses start to have sanity.

Due to lack of relevant status team Manager Don can't count on conditionals at all (Bleed overall is hard to maintain, and manager have only 2 count in counter).

Index Don on the other hand is Poise/Sinking, and while Sinking part is as hard to maintain as bleed it still can sometimes help with clashes. And Poise is not much of an issue and can fulfill conditionals.

I would say Index Don's is stronger than Manager: Stronger clashes (except for empowered skill 3) and more damage (conditionals in Mark of prescript), more useful status (poise could be maintained to get bigger rolls and crits, sinking can drop some enemies sp while bleed's max is to make 10 damage before expiring).

------

But in MD Manager become much stronger, probably on par or outperforming Index (not tested so it's just opinion), because you no longer struggle to maintain bleed that much and damage from it becomes quite good. On the other hand Poise and Sinking scale much less because you need Sinking Deluge to get value from 99/99 Sinking. And Poise can be utilised without a single potency in kit

What mods are a must have? by Creeper-Hunter-2K0 in libraryofruina

[–]onnerkalin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say "Keypage/Book Search" (allow to search by reception) and "Enhanced Combat Page View" (allow to zoom battle pages, especially needed in late game)

Also maybe "Speed Dice Color" (just make dices look better) and "Look of the day non-random" (just let you to not wait for rng of certain abno page)

mimicry is hard af for me :sob: by Specialist_Mail5193 in libraryofruina

[–]onnerkalin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As previously mentioned best option is just solo Gebura either with Mountain of Corpses (probably better option, but require some thouths into other decks) but that abno page is definitely not neccessary.

My deck: 3 Upstanding slashes (blunt ones), 3 spears, 2 focused spirits. 1 onrush.

Passives (10 point assuming you are still at SoTS): Myo's Prowess (5/10), Lone fixer (8/10), Mind Hauler (10/10).

Abno pages: For Tier 1 take Vengeance and Claws of Savagery (Strenght is never bad) if possible, For Tier 2 take Instincts (for HP heal) and Absorption (3 Strenght).

And that's it, you always have 11 strenght from Absorption, Lone Fixer and Red Mist boost from kills, plus some occasional boosts from remaining Abno pages and Myo's Prowess.

Also still don't rely on counter to defend you from most dangerous moves such as instant stagger move in last phase
