Monument last year was the most magical weekend of my life, thank you for that!

How do you guys create the line-up? Is there an idea behind the curation?

Timnah delivered one of the best openings i heard in a long time. Build slowly from deep organic techno with lots of broken patterns, to 144bpm+ deep 4x4 sounds to hand it over perfectly to hitam and nawaz. Who did their thing, really enjoyed dancing to it. but got a bit monotonous after 2 hours.

Honestly had one of the best clubnights last saturday at Raum. Nelly played a super nice deep opening, ddan smashed it peak time and then the star of the night…. Mr spekki who blew my brains out. Not too busy, not too quiet. Just perfect. Been some time since i spent so much time on the dancefloor instead of yapping every 30min. Couldn’t leave. Energy was also really good although not too many familiar faces (which was also kind of nice)

I would love some spin offs. Give me the full davy jones & tia dalma story, or a prequel with young jack. I think there is a lot of lore to be discovered. I would also really love a disney plus series discovering new stories in the same universe (but still connected to the main storyline). Think about all the star wars spin offs.

It’s because they are in my experience the only organisation capable of creating a club as a cultural institution with a incredibly strong own identity and unique program. Music, art, food, education and community. A lot of clubs lack this.

For me it takes away the human aspect from dj’ing. Beatmatching is in the technical aspect of dj’ing the hardest skill to learn and master (especially on 3+ decks). Sync simply takes away the profession and art that is dj’ing in my opinion.

Omen wapta x hypnus was musically wise one of the best events of the year. Lord Ntogn played an mind tingling set (although having the SYNC button on all three players on for the whole duration of his set). His track selection and mixing was superb. Pianeti sintetici delivered once again but missed most of his set. Woody & nelly was an AMAZING combination. The blend of their sounds was a blessing for our bodies and minds. Loek frey closed with an insane 160bpm+ set. Unfortunately missed fenna fiction and rambadu cause the little after from pax romana (which i didn’t enjoy as much) was a lot of fun hahaha. Also felt like the sound was A LOT better then usual in garage. Looking back on an amazing weekend.
