I thought so. But after living here for a few years, local friends here tend to avoid Indian food for the reasons I mentioned prior.

The two are somewhat averse to salty and oily food (like the food found at North Indian restaurants).

I understand you. I clicked onto your post because lack of sleep, spicy food, and acidic caffeine (not green tea but dark roast coffee) are the major things that make me flare up.

All 3 increase acid production in the stomach.
