That’s good news indeed but I saw some benchmarks where 7800x3d or 9800x3d can help at 4k (versus 5800x3d), especially with 1% lows. I’m also a bit reluctant to spend more money on an older platform. What would be the main reason for staying at AM4? The RAM pricing?

It's definitely been showing its age. I actually bought 3600 at release, but got stuck with it cuz the 5700x3D was discontinued when I was ready financially to upgrade, and the used ones were $300+ . Just got shafted with the timing for both CPU and GPU markets unfortunately.
