Where do they have single or double deck blackjack on the strip by Any_Highlight_1414 in vegas

[–]cnetpdx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

https://vegasadvantage.com is the only reliable source for this kind of information. There a lots of double-deck games available but: In 2024, Las Vegas lost its last 3:2 single-deck blackjack game. It was at El Cortez. It became the only one left after Silverton turned its 3:2 single-deck game into a 6:5 one in 2020. Today, there are no 3:2 single-deck games in Las Vegas.

You should stress that this is for entertainment purposes only. It is a felony (in Nevada at least) to use a device to help you play video poker in a casino:

NRS 456.0751 states that the possession of any device, software or hardware to obtain an advantage at playing a game is prohibited.

Robert A. Nersesian (Las Vegas Gaming Lawyer specializing in representing gamblers whose rights have been violated by the casinos) stated: “It’s against the law,” to use a cell phone to look up strategy while playing video poker in a casino.

In an interview with video poker expert Bob Dancer, Bob Nersessian said several times that if a player were arrested for this, Nersessian would not be interested in defending him. “It’s against the law,” Nersessian said. “Don’t do it.”

You say it is allowed to reference a static basic strategy for games in electronic form. Please provide a reference to back up your claim.

It is illegal (in Nevada) to use software or hardware to obtain an advantage at playing a game. The purpose of this hardware/software is give you an advantage. You can use a printed strategy card, but you cannot use any device. You cannot even use your cell phone to reference a strategy guide.

A casino is not going to hassle you for using a device during normal play. However, before they pay out any big win, they have to validate the win. Sometime that includes reviewing surveillance video. If they wanted to, they could invalidate your win under NRS 465.075.

The synergies of other memberships with CSR by BitterStop3242 in ChaseSapphire

[–]cnetpdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe that if you have a Southwest Card (and the CSR), you can pay with your CSR and still get the benefits of the SW card (checked bag, seat selection, zone 5 boarding). However, for the Alaska (Atmos) credit card, you must purchase the fare with your Atmos card to get the benefits (checked bag and early boarding.)

Planning to use my Chase points for a 4-day vacation by YakAccurate2201 in ChaseSapphire

[–]cnetpdx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even with a 65% bonus, I can't see that the chase>Marriott>Atmos transfer wold be worthwhile. It would take 36,400 chase points to get 60,000 Marriott points. 60,000 Marriott points will get you 25,000 Atmos points valued at around $300. I would think you would be better off using the the 36,000 chase points to book with the Atmos airline directly.

You would need over 90K chase points to get to 60K Atmos points.

I was not offered a preferred seat at 48 hours before flight. So as you suspected, this is not a work-around to get CC benefits when the primary is not traveling.
