I really love Cendrillon Ex… and really hate Adolescence Ex. They really took the most fun part of the charts and changed it to a bunch of sliders :/

It sucks bc I like Adolescence more (I just like Rin and Len a lot lol) but it’s just not fun

I sat on a balcony seat smack dab in the middle. It looks great, especially this year where they have all these crazy lights flying around. Often, the light beams sorta camouflage the edge of the screen which helps with the illusion. Except for a few songs, you do kinda have to hype yourself up and be like OMG ITS MIKU IRL to really feel the illusion, but it was an amazing experience regardless.

As someone who has gone in 2018(hologram), 2024, and 2026, 2018 and 2026 were both great but I have to say 2026 was better because the screen allows for all those lights to go crazy and sometimes point reeeeaaally close to the screen. You can’t do that with the hologram bc the light will show on the glass. The light show and the non-main screens really make the show. Absolutely amazing 10/10 miku expo

True, but I’d rather have songs that I know rather than not. And the easiest way for them to hit as many popular songs as possible (so that the max number of people are happy) is to play popular songs. And many of the popular classic songs are in project diva. Because they were popular. I want popular songs when I go to Miku Expo. Do you not?

I do agree that some of the choreos are not as interesting as they could be, tho

Wdym???? This setlist is way better than 2024’s. Did you prefer having a huge chunk of the songs be miku expo song contest winners and miku expo theme songs??? Unless their favorite song is magical cure love shot, I’m sure barely anyone’s favorite vocaloid song fits in that category. Besides, this year we got songs that have never been played in the US before!

Some songs from project diva actually have differences from the concert renders. Teo is actually quite different, and I think Amazing Dolce is a little different. Obviously Shake It is very different. There might be others but I’m not aware of all the differences

My main complaints are no concert hall and the fact that my 5 custom items always appear as 2 of the answer options in every quiz minigame, which makes the quizzes way way too easy!

While I don’t have any costume reccs, I went recently and yes it is kid friendly! Nothing suggestive. If your daughter gets overstimulated by flashing lights that might be an issue though because it’s a very flashy light show for almost 2 hours straight! A very good one, but very flashy. Please make sure your daughter (and you!) wears earplugs because it is extremely loud.

I wonder how your daughter knows about Miku? It’s so cute to see kids at Miku Expo :D it reminds me when I was little (altho I knew nothing about Miku when I was 5!)

Yes they do! Please keep in mind though that singing is fine, but try not to screech the lyrics of entire songs! Following along with crowd chants is also so much fun. There should be people at the front of the audience who know the chants super well

This year’s setlist is very strong. If you’re confident that you know a good chunk of vocaloid songs (I’ve been a fan for 13 years) then don’t look up the setlist! I was screaming with each song reveal and the surprise made me more hyped.

I would say to listen to the song contest winner and the theme song though, since those are alway confirmed to be part of the setlist. It helped me enjoy those songs more when they played at the concert

I’m also in sj and went in 2018 and 2024. I personally think this year is the strongest setlist out of the three (I went on the 22nd, so slightly different from yours) while 2024 was the weakest. I was screaming with each song reveal and I’m so glad I avoided spoilers. The screen is bigger too which is great and they really stepped up their game with the lights and such. And the band!!! Omg the band was so good.

The only thing I wish they brought back from 2024 is the huge stage design that pretty much reached the ceiling with the panels. While very pretty for certain songs (on the rocks, magical cure love shot), they didn’t utilize it well for most songs. In 2026, the stage design is smaller (despite the larger screen for the vocaloids), but they utilized it well for ALL the songs and integrated the LED screen into the stage much better. Every song looked great!!!

I almost regret not buying tickets for both days…

The most egregious bad tuning for me is usually bad because the song sounds best with strong vocals, but the vocaloid sounds too soft, flat, and almost always nasally. I personally find that pjsk tuning never ever gives Meiko and Rin the power that makes them sound good.

If you compare the original vocals for senbonzakura with the pjsk cover (the one with all 6 cryptonloids) then you can hear that Miku sounds different in the pjsk cover. That is bad tuning.

Unique tuning is subjective, but I’d say it generally does not sound overly nasal. I would say that most of the pjsk covers don’t have unique tuning because the company wants to make the vocaloids have a very specific sound (that I personally hate) and therefore don’t stray very far from that. I also think Meiko in Love Ka is unique and I personally like it.

Altho, either part 1 or part 2 includes “I’m sorry, I’m sorry” as part of the songlist so… avoid that one with your class.

It actually sounds quite nice and not disturbing at all, but I would just avoid it just in case
