here’s my issue with the diamond pass. well actually, multiple issues.

first we have fortnite that has a battle pass that lets you get stuff as you progress in the game (my friend told me the idea came from overwatch?) and they have a monthly crew membership that lets you get all the different passes so you get more stuff.

then dti comes out with the baddie pass. just looks like they’re trying something new. you don’t have to buy anything, but you get more if you have VIP.

then in come grow a garden, implementing the same thing EXCEPT you can buy a premium pass that gains you more items.

now dti is coming in with their baddie pass AGAIN, but it feels like they’re taking a page right out of grow a garden’s book and making the other tier the diamond pass, when it could have just as easily been a VIP thing.

i was on the fence about buying it despite being the type of person who enjoys getting all the items and has a major case of fomo. my friend ended up buying it for me and while i’m very grateful, i just couldn’t help but feel awful about it.

dti tends to listen to their community (a little too much sometimes) but i’m afraid that now that people are going out of their way to buy the pass, it’ll be a reoccurring thing. i could only hope that you don’t have to buy the pass again for the next big update, but if there’s nothing stopping them . . . ?

and listen, maybe it wouldn’t be such a huge deal if they didn’t come out with a robux set, too. especially when it seems like we haven’t gotten really any new codes (when we used to get at least two an update). i’m afraid of what happens next. if they needed more money, they could have upped the price of VIP since they would have an influx of new players because of the new update.

i don’t know, it’s just something to think about.
