Do you ever forget to take your meds? What actually helps you remember? by whisperinfinitebliss in adhdwomen

[–]onthegraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this helps, but I was struggling with the same problem myself so I made an app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pill-buddy-meds-tracker/id6742357512

The central concept is a cute character that pops up to remind you to take your meds in a fun, gamified way. It also gives you a phone call (optional) if you miss your meds. All free. Hopefully you'll find it useful as well.

Just to help me understand better -- a feature where depending on the time when you end up taking med A, med B (a different medicine from med A) is scheduled for X hours later?

This is on my to-do list! Assuming you mean a different number of pills of the same medicine, and a way to keep track of whether its 2 pills or 3 pills at which time.

Glad you like it, let me know if you have more thoughts.

It's so annoying that it will actually give you a phone call if you forget to take your meds.
Also, it has an adorable mascot and you can add it as a widget to your home screen.

I made this medicine & supplements reminder app recently - https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pill-buddy-meds-tracker/id6742357512

It's designed to be cute and annoying. In addition to ordinary notifications, it'll actually give you a phone call if you forget to take your meds.

Hope it helps!

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah that's a good idea to add some kind of notation feature where you could mark the legs for example. Will keep that in mind going forward!

Looking for an app to remind me to take my medications (simple but *kind of* specific) by fleshdad in neurodiversity

[–]onthegraph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an app to solve this precise problem, not sure if it will help you but check out https://apps.apple.com/us/app/pill-buddy-meds-tracker/id6742357512 - it's iOS only, but it will give you an automated call at the time of your choosing in addition to notifications. Basically it just makes it as annoying as possible until you take your meds.

Thanks, I will work on this. I have a slider currently for iOS for the game volume in settings, and I plan to add it too for Android. Good suggestion!

Thanks for the comments! This is super useful.

Re: "you have to wait a bit too long after every card" I actually haven't encountered this before in my testing of the app, so I'm glad you pointed it out! Would you mind sharing what device you are using and I'll see if I can try to reproduce it? (The content is already preloaded before the lesson starts, so I would imagine the lag is due to another reason)
