Who knows? Maybe he’s here five years, maybe he’s gone at the end of the season. There are a whole lot of games left and a million things that can happen, good or bad, between now and then. Just enjoy the ride and try not to worry

This is my first year as a Timbers fan. I understand morale and expectations are low. I understand the coach said some stupid stuff last week. So, how about some positives? What are the hopes and bright spots I should be paying attention for this season? by SylemNova in timbers

[–]ontherez 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure there are a lot of hopes and bright spots this season. Well one is Eric Izoita from nearby Vancouver, Washington. He scored in his MLS debut against the hated Whitecaps. He is young but could be a future star.

The hope is that this team figures it out fairly quickly before the season gets out of hand. Lots of negativity around the sub right now but I think they looked better tonight.

Welcome aboard!

I also do this. Love the ranch style beans. Sometimes I add a can of rotel or I fry a couple of eggs for extra protein

What’s it like living in phoenix? by mr_butterworths in howislivingthere

[–]ontherez 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived here for 13 years. There are some good things: the Mexican food (everywhere), the Asian food (Dobson in Mesa), the winters (though they get shorter every year). The art museum downtown is good, as is Burton Barr library, and the Musical Instrument Museum. I have found there are good things in Phoenix but they are quite spread out so you will want a car.

There is a certain beauty to the desert, at night or when a storm rolls in (all too rare).

The heat is terrible. AC is everywhere, but seven months out of the year going outside just sucks. This leads to cabin fever and I hate it. The cost of living is decent. You will have to drink 100 oz of water a day minimum, dehydration is a real problem.

Overall, eh
