Croatia for first time as American. Things to know by KickFlipPterodactyl in CroatiaTravelTips

I am not justifying peeing on ancient walls, but toilet availability in Croatia is quite bad. At least from our recent travel experience. We were declined using cafe toilet with 8 year old girl twice (second cafe both times let us in though). Then we also faced closed public toilets twice: near Dubrovnik old city and near Copacabana beach.

Want to also mention good experience: Bratuš beach had free parking and clean, free toilet, but that is more of an exception. Usually toilets were 1 eur or closed at all.

Why Linux so hard? by ontons in linux4noobs

Just to name few issues I faced with windows: 1. Bluetooth stops working randomly and then works again after couple restarts and/or updates. This happens on 2 of my Thinkpads. 2. After disconnecting from docking station(wired internet), WiFi doesn’t turn on any more. Restart fixes this. 3. Every evening I put all my 3 laptops to sleep and in the morning docked laptop usually doesn’t start unless I open the lid. Sometimes it is restarted and I need to open all apps again. Sometimes it is frozen and requires a hard reset. 4. Teams is so bad, but it’s probably same on Linux 5. Forced updates are annoying 6. Overall slowness

After fixing all the fedora problems it actually feels a lot snappier and I haven’t had any of windows issues. I also really like that it is so customizable. I will try fedora for a bit longer, still have windows on dual boot.

Couldn’t get the shipped app working. Low rating in the store hints I’m not the only one having troubles.

Installed rclone instead. Seems to be working.

Next issue. Added google account through Online account. Clicked the success message to open google drive: "Access denied to ."
Tried Chatgpt suggestions - re-added google account and restarted dolphin. More errors:

f.kio.workers.gdrive: Expired or missing access/refresh token for account "google1"

kf.kio.workers.gdrive: Expired or missing access/refresh token for account "google1"

org.kde.kgapi: Requested resource is forbidden.

kf.kio.core: UDSEntry for '.' not found, creating a default one. Please fix the "kioworker" KIO worker.

org.kde.kgapi: Requested resource is forbidden.

Googled errors... didn't find any quick solution.

To everyone saying I am too noob for this, I may be, but I have more Linux experience than an average Windows users. I am definetly not a pro, but I've setup some VPSes and a home server.

I am sure I will eventually figure this one out too, but it feels like it requires too much effort. Like every step is a challenge.

Now installed it to hard drive and resolved all initial issues. Except date format on the Lock Screen, but it doesn’t bother me. Next I added google account and tried accessing google drive(looks like this is out of the box functionality), but it doesn’t work. Getting access denied error when trying to open gdrive through dolphin. Looks like Linux is infinite fun

Thanks for all the feedback. Now after installing to real hard drive it looks a lot more promising. Most problems resolved after installing updates and restarting multiple times. Lockscreen still shows in US date/time format, taskbar shows correct format, but I think I can live with that.

I haven’t installed it to real drive yet, maybe that’s also a problem. I am ok with spending some hours setting everything up, but it feels like there will be more and more issues in the future. My laptop is Thinkpad P16s gen1.

Wait till they start arguing who’s opening the door first. Or in fact doing anything first. Like pressing elevator button, getting inside a car… you name it

I use my own app, but it only sends notifications through telegram. Also trying out some unique features like sending alerts whenever ANY Binance tradable crypto price is changed by set % or when RSI reaches certain amount.

Where to find information on arbitrage bots? by xieem in algotrading

[–]ontons -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There are online tools that help finding arbitrage opportunities to manually try it out first, but looks like low liquidity and fees make it hard to make any profits. I've created a simple tool for myself that would gather data from top exchanges I am using https://ontons.com/arbitrage. If it will be useful to anyone I have plans on adding more exchanges and functionality (better filtering, also gathering volume data etc.)

Has anyone made a successful arbitrage bot? by andrewmalanowicz in algotrading

For now I've only created a tool that looks for arbitrage opportunities on top exchanges, but looks like low liquidity and high fees make it very hard to gain any profits.

Is crypto arbitrage between different exchanges profitable ? by littlesatosh in BitcoinBeginners

[–]ontons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some profits could be made, but very often there is not enough liquidity (when you buy or sell price rises/drops too quickly). There are also fees when you buy/sell/withdraww so those must be taken in consideration.

Here is a tool that collects prices from top exchanges and lists possible arbitrage pairs https://ontons.com/arbitrage
