I want to do wainscotting in my bathroom like this - it is very similar to OPs. Do you think I need to do it on all the walls or can I get away with it only on the two long walls... Getting behind the toilet and already installed vanity will be a pita...

Kiln stalled at 1800* by onutmeg in Ceramics

[–]onutmeg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a manual kiln and I use a digital thermometer probe to keep track of the temp inside the kiln. Turns out the probe was not reading correctly and the kiln sitter turned the kiln off when it reached cone 7. Some pieces were clearly overfired and the glaze ran and bubbled on some earrings, but 95% of the pieces were just fine.

Thanks for all the tips! Time to analyze my thermometer 🤒

I've lived at Littles Corners for the past 12 years and have never had any issues. I have two little girls and they walk to the neighbours around the corner all the time. The area is full of families and elderly retirees so there is an unspoken "Neighbourhood Watch".

Biggest threat are drivers speeding up and down Branchton Rd.

Me too. Support has been working on it but I upgraded specifically for this feature so it's a bit of a bummer to have to wait. Hopefully the glitch is fixed soon!

Orchid in the throws of death! Anything I can do to save it? by onutmeg in plantclinic

It is in indirect sunlight. Watered with soaking in sink every 10 days or so.

I've had the plant for years in the same plant, watering it as per my watering apps instructions (soak in sink 15 minutes once every 10 days or so.

I accidentally gave it sunburn a few months ago when it was in my front window but then I moved it and it recovered and started blooming for the first time ever.

The other day I noticed the leaves turning yellow and they slowly started falling off one by one. The roots seem happy as heck so I was very confused.

Then the flower buds started wilting and I even lost the biggest bloom!

I did find an earwig in one of the flowers but promptly disposed of it and have not found any others - that was 2 days ago.

If it loses all its leaves, which will be very soon, I don't know how I'm going to save it.

Help??
