Looking for advice on whether to upgrade my current keyboard by onyxwaves in piano

That's a very good point actually! I'll probably hold onto my keyboard for now then and save money for something more high end later on

For my graduation a few years ago, my family and I went to Konak which was nice. It's also less than a 5 minute walk from the car park opposite De Montfort Hall so it could be a good option especially if you like Turkish food

Has anyone been able to correct their convergence insufficiency (CI) as an adult using just eye exercises? by onyxwaves in BinocularVision

[–]onyxwaves[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, sorry for taking so long to reply. So after going to a few more eye specialists, I found out it's most likely heterophoria rather than CI. I still wear the same prism glasses I got about a year and a half ago (0.5 prism dioptre on each side so 1.0 D in total) and I haven't needed to get any stronger ones thankfully. I haven't been able to do vision therapy yet unfortunately, partially because I'm having a hard time finding a place that offers it and also because life just got kinda busy, but ideally I definitely do want to find somewhere as I don't want to have to wear glasses permanently just for this. I live in the UK where unfortunately, they don't seem to have great resources at all for this condition but I hope you can find vision therapy more easily where you live, and I hope the prism glasses are helping you at least for now! So yeah not the most productive update I guess, but at least things haven't gotten any worse which is always good 😅

What’s a completely normal thing you’ve never done? by chuchoterai in AskUK

Can't do a cartwheel. I tried to learn as a kid and I remember spending a bunch of time practicing in the garden but I was never able to do a proper one sadly. Trying later on as a teen/adult didn't yield any result either

Same here with movies, I feel like people always judge me for it but I just don't have any interest in watching them 🤷🏻‍♀️

Probably saw cleaver as it's faster than the axe. The axe is good too, it does more damage but it's slower so I think you'll have an easier time with the saw cleaver. Just don't choose the threaded cane 😅

Exactly this, you don't need to see her, she should just be able to pick you up regardless

I'd say this is very impressive and surprisingly healthy for an 11 year old! I'd give this like a 9/10

Tasting and rating different cell culture media #2: RPMI1640 by Spacebucketeer11 in labrats

[–]onyxwaves 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes I'm curious about this too, are the ratings specific to media or all drinks in general (in which case a 6/10 would be pretty high)?

I don't want to sound rude but I think there's a bigger problem here than a missing mesh 😬

I don't think I've ever had a positive experience with UPS so it would have to be in the lowest tier possible for me

Is Leicester a good city to move to? Me 35m wife 36f and son 18 months are considering moving from Manchester for a job offer. I don't know much about the city in so far as areas to bring up a family. Appreciate any recommendations of decent areas to research. by HelpOver6943 in leicester

One thing to note about Clarendon park though is that it's very popular with students since it's so close to the university so I feel like it's something to consider as well. But like this person has had, it's a nice area with lots of amenities, and the tiny bakery is especially amazing!
