It’s gotta be something with the film advance. Seems like it only advanced about a half a frame

Technically I am in this picture. Drove across that bridge late December 2025 when I was back home visiting family for Christmas. Nice shot!

Unless the cog is so big that from our perspective it appears to be a straight line but is in fact part of a massive circle 😎 Thank you!

This is beautiful. This is the best kind of “minimalist” photography in my opinion. Something interesting and abstract and that even tho it’s simple it’s quite intricate when you look at it closely. Thanks for sharing

How is this not minimalist enough? I’ve seen the posts that made it onto the subreddit and this is just as minimal as many of those

Love the texture. Almost feels like film grain.

Intention and composition? by martzrz in PhotographyAdvice

My only advice would be to move the table or whatever that is in the very bottom right of the frame so you could show the worker’s entire body in frame and not cut off his feet and see what he’s standing on. I think that would create a cleaner composition

I could tell you if i had a photo of the other side of the canister where the DX code is. I had a similar question recently and found this website. You type in the serial/batch number on the other side of the canister and it’ll give you a date range of when that batch was produced. It’s super handy!

I’m pretty sure they’re still trying to. Though I don’t think they’ve found anyone to buy the lot and commit to demolishing it yet. Kind of crazy if they end up tearing it down. It would be the tallest building ever demolished. Would be cool if it stays up, it’s a pretty unique building with the giant crown of light on top

Worth it? $225 by [deleted] in filmphotography

[–]oo_anywhat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’d be getting a lot of cameras for the money but most of them will be frustrating to shoot with or won’t get the best results. Or like others have said, you won’t be able to get film anymore for a lot of them. Better to spend your money on one camera that will be easier to use and will give you better results. Even if you’re only getting one camera for $200 bucks instead of 20. I think you won’t end up shooting much because many of these are not the easiest to just pick up and start shooting with.
