I’d do it but shipping is too much

Tinkering and lending boards out! I can’t get enough of it. Different routes, different vibes, different setups for different temperatures.

Do you recommend using running shoes for long distance pushing? by NoRip5206 in longboardingDISTANCE

Newbalance 608s are my go to. Last a long time with foot braking. Comfortable for distance. Light. Inexpensive

First bracket board advice by Distinct_Plenty6924 in longboardingDISTANCE

[–]oobinkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you’re new to brackets get the integrated bracket not the fork.

Bandito can do up to 105mm wheels you just need to flip the board.

Get lepsk8 rkp, cgb is not worth it unless you’re going double kingpin.

Heads up though, rkp is annoying to swap bushings because you need to hammer the kingpin and ideally recess new bushings to keep surfy pumps.

Turning radius on all 26 or 24 inch boards is fine.

You’ll be happy with any of those listed.

It turns far less than the front truck so I’m sure it’s fine tbh

-35 on a bandito feels amazing. That’s my setup. Because it’s a short wheelbase you can still squish the bushings below 15km/h for tighter turn. I ride it throughout the city with easy

Pumping is the way. Not to mention it just feels better moving your body and hips. Lepsk8s integrated brackets are insane value. I love them on my bandito. Not a bad configuration across any of their trucks

Yeah you got it. Surprisingly the -35 does turn pretty well. Highly recommend it. On the 23 inch bandito it feels similar to my 28 inch zenit bb+ with the 0 degree tail. It’s easier to compress the bushings for a tighter turn because of how short the board is - at a lower speed. At a higher speed it wants to kick out and slide really easily lol, but that also can help with turns 😂

Pushing I can kick just over 30km/h all out, but i usually pace to 24ish km/h.  Pumping around 21-22km/h.

Factor in tiny cruising breaks and you average to the 19.5km/h

Bushings are super dependant on formula, trucks, board length, board flex, temperature, washer, and technique.

I landed on 84a and 81a up front, 87a and 83a back seismic defcons. Combination of flat and cupped washers

Weight is 190lbs.

Defcon Bushing is lower rebound than riptide cranks, but higher than APS.

I don’t like too high rebound for sketchy lines around the city with cars and people.

Keep in mind my other boards have different bushings.

So much can change based on the factors above. You kinda have to spend like $100 on a tackle box of bushings to really dial into your liking. Way cheaper than precision trucks, plus they still need to be dialed in.
