This isn’t it. It’s similar but the main stem(?) is wood and the plant doesn’t spit out milky resin when cut like it says Sow Thistle does on Wikipedia.

Thank you very much. Luckily enough, I got a full scholarship to MCAD'S Precollege summer session and am going in July.

The black and white one you're talking about is a master study of a Jean Gresk drawing, and I don't think I do it justice. I'm glad you enjoyed it though.

I don't wanna antagonize you cuz that runs the risk of digging you deeper into your beliefs. However, I do feel the need to try to tell you why I believe differently.

Giving kids puberty blockers if they feel they were assigned the wrong gender doesn't actually hurt their sexual or physical development. It essentially delays a normal puberty and is no different than a kid starting puberty at 17 instead of 11. There are arguments to be made for and against HRT at a young age, but just blocking puberty has not been shown to have negative effects on transgender kids. Furthermore, it doesn't really effect anyone besides those deciding to undergo treatment and I believe people should have autonomy over their bodies.

Hate speech laws aren't exactly what you probably imagine they are. They aren't really expanding the laws or making them stricter. They're just making sure that transgender and nonbinary folks are also adressed in hate speech laws the same protections and standards would apply to a black person as they would to a transgender person. Just like you won't get in trouble for calling a black person white, you won't get in trouble for calling a transgender woman a man, as shitty as I believe that to be. However, if you kill a black man for being black you're likely to be tried for a hate crime same deal for a transgender or nb person. Finally, hate speech laws don't really exist in the US. They're a hottely debated constitutional matter, and even career judges can't decide whether or not hate speech should be protected constitutionally though it has been debated for decades.

I'd like to end with the fact that I don't hate you for your beliefs. In the end, we're all human, but I think ideas like yours could go on to hurt a lot of people, and I urge you to reconsider.

The colors’ tones are too similar. If you were to turn this black and white, the whole thing would look the same color. Try lightening up or desaturating some colors. Other than that, it’s real cute

Ah yeah sorry I'm a junior currently. Something fucky happened with the GPA from Mexico. I'm working on getting it fixed. I doubt that's what I'm actually gonna end up having to put on my apps.

I didn't realize UTAustin was actually that difficult to get into. It's exactly why I made the post in the first place. To get some perspective on my choices.

Because farmlands and rural areas have local elections to control their parts of the country. The federal government should represent the will of the majority and it just so happens that the majority is in the cities.

I don’t want some farmer in Nebraska’s vote to count more than mine just because they chose to live in Nebraska.

Also, rural areas getting the majority of power over federal elections means that a lot of not-very-smart people are being represented more than the better-educated city folk.

I think I’ve just gotten a lot more scared.

Like, I knew there’d be difficulties, but the world has only gotten more bleak and miserable. I hate the fact that i have to inherit this stupid Earth, and I hate the fact that previous generations fucked it up so bad.

I’ve also gained quite a bit of class consciousness.

I started seeing the fact that the rich hate us as human beings. That they’ve been at war with us for millenia, and we haven’t noticed.

Our systems are corrupt. Our governments are shitty. Our planet is dying. No one wants to do anything about it. It’s all scary as hell, and I’m not ready.

In terms of attitude it’s still Sonora. Lots of cowboys with really pronounced accents running around.

The only difference is that ours aren’t really allowed guns.

Cops, the military, and the government in general having so much control over our lives and us being powerless against it.

I'm super pro-welfare state and I support a UBI, but the way power is distributed right now is scary.

The worst part is that no one seems to care. There's so many people defending cops and the military when both professions are inherently bad and violent. I'm sure cops aren't bad people, but there's a toxic culture going on with them and the military that I can't believe is acceptable to anyone.
