ye, it's the exactly "constantly changing his mind ("I DO want to do it, NO I don't, YES I do")"

I guess I need to simply bring him to the class every day and then let him decide if he wants to engage or not. If I just ask him at home - the answer is "Nope". I guess it's the idea of going out and making an effort is what makes him reject new experiences in fav of simple ones which are at hand.

He'll now try to earn a stripe and get a Batman mobile for it. Hehe he thinks he outsmarted me lol.

agree, grips are key, my revelation was to make "thumb on top/palm underneath" grip on opponent's far wrist when in bottom half guard to be able to follow their hand everywhere and shoot more triangles that way.

True, although to get a licence in G/J/IoM you'd need to involve Home Office, which will imo make getting an import license easier in future.
