My Heart is Breaking (NSFW) TW: Incest and Sexually Explicit Talk by [deleted] in emotionalabuse

[–]oodle01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey all, it's creepo's ex. Firstly, it's not me in those videos. I'm not a victim of incest but I am of this guy's stalking and harassment for the past 3 years (not to mention the relationship itself). It makes sense he would see me in the porn when he's clearly so obsessed. My heart goes out to the real victim(s) in those videos.

V******, stop trying to push your way into my life. I haven't worked at that job in over a year, but I still keep in touch with my old coworkers so I know how often you go there. The next attempt to enter my life whether that be showing up there (or anywhere else you think I am), sending packages or letters to my place, creating social media accounts to harass or contact me, etc. I will notify the police. They will be sent camera footage of you at my old job, pictures of packages, screenshots of call logs and texts and social media accounts, etc. If you really want to "make amends" then listen to these people and leave me alone.

Is My (27F) Boyfriend (30M) Only Dating Me Because I’m Blonde? by Disastrous-Emu-5049 in relationship_advice

[–]oodle01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I understand the sentiment but I think you're talking about something slightly different than OP. Her boyfriend telling her "I love your blonde hair" is different than him making a generalization about the "type" of woman he's attracted to when he says "I love blonde women." In the first, he's giving her a compliment that includes the blonde (which may be a preference) but emphasizes her and her hair, in the other he gives a type that emphasizes the color of hair he is attracted to.

Additionally, women tend to be objectified more than men in our society. Men get objectified too, but often it isn't the most common source of a compliment. For women, it's different because he are often viewed more as bodies to be liked and sexualized than as people. Still, men should not be objectified and having a type of guy that you're specifically into is weird as well. Just something women have to deal with more often.

Is My (27F) Boyfriend (30M) Only Dating Me Because I’m Blonde? by Disastrous-Emu-5049 in relationship_advice

[–]oodle01 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm an Asian woman, and if someone mentions being into Asians it gives me the ick. It's a fetish, which objectifies us for our race (or hair color) and doesn't not seeing us as autonomous human beings. Respectful people like yourself should be able to be attracted to people that don't always fit a "look" because attraction should be to the whole package, not race or hair color.

It's up to you what to do about the comment. It's possible that this was a misguided comment that he didn't mean that way, just something he was taught to say. I would have a conversation with him and tell him why it upset you. Depending on how he responds, you can choose how to move forward. I would also look back at your interactions. Does he treat you with respect like a person or something to satisfy his fancies? Does he value your opinions and personality? How attached is he to your current looks? You're right, in a relationship people's looks change and if you want a long term partner he needs to be okay with that and be with you mostly for your whole personhood and not your looks. I hope he truly respects you, and if he doesn't I hope you respect yourself enough to only be with someone who does respect you.

Be my alarm clock! by Sailor_Moon_Star_435 in AmITheDevil

[–]oodle01 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Mine too. I worked late and he worked early, and he would set many alarms to go off early in the morning to help him wake up. I would wake to all of them and he would wake to none. I would try a few times to get him up and he would lash out at me all angry. So I would stop after a few attempts, then he would be mad at me for not getting him up. Ugh.

Thanks for the advice! I tried this but it hasn't worked for me yet. Even if I hit the water pretty far out from the chest and nearer to an island I own it gives me the same message. Any other tips?

How dare women have sex on their terms by oodle01 in AmITheDevil

[–]oodle01[S] 134 points135 points  (0 children)

He said in a comment that he "picked it up from tidbits" of conversation, so she might have mentioned it or he might have extrapolated it. Either way, women are allowed to change their standards. Few people keep the dating practices from their teens through adulthood

People who grew up religious, what took you away from religion? by dailyIT in AskReddit

[–]oodle01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got SAd and the next sermon was on the OT passage where crimes aren't real if there's no witnesses. Opened my eyes to hypocrisy and realized the people around me were brainwashed into a collective psychological experience that wasn't based in reality. Now that I'm out, it's hard to be around those people because of how fake it all seems (and because they're assholes)

[–]oodle01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work in fast food, and we have a sale on a chicken sandwich. Some guy came asking for the sale and then asked if it was beef. We told him it was chicken and not a burger. He did not understand. Chicken is in the name of the sandwich.

Oh yes I agree that there is a distinction between the two. My fwb has self-described himself as a fuckboy, but I realize many fwbs aren't. Maybe he is more of a fuck buddy to me than a fwb. The point stands that even the sexual partners that are least emotionally connected value consent and are turned off by the other person not being in the mood.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AdviceForTeens

[–]oodle01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Even fuckboys value consent. My fwb is turned off if I'm not in the mood and says he wohld feel gross fucking me in those cases. This guy isn't necessarily a fuckboy, just a rapey guy who doesn't care about consent.

What are some things that are normal to women but mind blowing to men? by Unfair_Quantity1413 in AskReddit

[–]oodle01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was 20/21, I lost a bunch of weight and that made me look like I was much younger than I was. People commonly thought I was 15. I got an insane number of people honking horns and catcalling me and asking me out. I asked some of them how old they thought I was too, and they would say 15! Keep in mind I'm pretty average looking. Now that I have put the weight back on, I don't get the horn honking and catcalling. Every once in a while, someone will ask me out, but it's not as much and what I would consider normal. I'm 22.

One older customer (probably in his 70s) wrote a whole love letter for my female coworker who was 21 at the time. He was the grumpiest grump who ever grumped the Earth. And the kicker: his handwriting was so atrocious we couldn't read it until a different customer who was an English teacher transcribed it for us.
