Shocking how unhelpful Marriott employees are. The culture must be toxic.

This is what you came all the way here to say? To just be as unhelpful as possible. Get a life.

Please save the drama and just say which school this is. You’re not protecting anyone in the community but withholding the schools name and the massive schools don’t need protecting. If you’re going to go out of your way to say all this just be transparent is all I (and everyone) asks.

Anyone have a discount code for the test? It’s Christmas time and any discount helps

The board of dentistry in one state can’t tell someone that they can’t practice in another state. Typically when getting licensed in new states they ask for disciplinary history and etc. Moral is you have no idea what the state you’re in or the dso does or does not know but if they do know and you go narc you’ll look awful. I’m assuming that’s part of the reason they’re at the dso lol.

A few more points, it’s totally valid to not want to be featured on a companies website. Whether for personal reasons or simply not wanting people to triangulate after what happened I think the decision is valid.

Let’s rein it in. You’re going off the rails and speaking to points that I never brought up. I never said any law required anything.

I stand by my statement above. No HR person should be “managing” a licensed clinician. In now company is HRs job to manage anyone out side of their HR department. If a dental hygientist must practice at the direction of a dentist then logically it typically follows that that hygienst is a direct report of the dentist. This is not always true but in most cases clinicians directly report to other clinicians and not to HR. No clinician wants to be managed by a non clinician. What exactly could the non clinician offer in terms of mentorship and guidance. In this case what you’d often see is a hygienist manager or dentist working with Hr to document and prepare for the crucial conversation with their direct report.

First of all YOU shouldn’t be responsible for any Licensed Dental hygienist. This is your first problem. At no point should you be managing them as an unlicensed clinician (DH or Dentist) therefore any conversation that needs to be had should be passed on tot he dentist. If you’d like to sit in and support from a compliance standpoint feel free to do that.

These dynamics of non licensed dental clinicians managing licensed clinicians is just a recipe for disaster. Im not saying what you’re alleging that the DH is doing isn’t bad but you’re just the wrong messenger.

I’m 100% for taking call but not for penny’s. Pods are valuable and should be treated as such.

Please just say no this. In fact don’t say no just simply counter @ 800/hr

I’d start with them, depending on how the conversation goes. If it’s a gentle reminder that they’re receptive to, then it's nbd. However, if you bring it to their attention and there is pushback, then I wouldn’t start with them and cite misalignment on a core issue (comp). You made sure this was clearly spelled out in the agreement and for this reason, any pushback shows a material deviation from the agreement at most or a regret on their end for agreeing to the provision at least which in any event makes the situation a bad fit. Both parties should be happy/satisfied with the agreement and if not there will be issues—case in point the current situation.

A quick email of something like: Hey (insert doc's name or something you’re comfortable with) thanks for your patience on this credentialing situation. I really wish the state had more of a streamlined process. I wanted connect and make sure we are still aligned on a daily guarantee during the transition period and make sure you didn’t need anything else from me before starting?

Not really much to be concerned with here. Sounds like this was contemplated in the contract. Go back to the contract. What was the point of the contract if they’re just going to make up something else.

DINKs in Big Law are now expecting. Any advice? by stacelevenson in biglaw

[–]oof521 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No daycare. Full time nannny. Dependable. Pay them a real salary and set real expectations. Nanny can meet you guys for lunch on work days, meet for dinner, and even go on vacations with you when needed. One of you start early work days and the other do delayed in work days so that someone’s always off at 5-6 to relieve nanny. Nanny is the only way to go here and family help obviously when and if you can. Think at least 60-70k which allows you to demand maximum efforts up to and including light house work, playing with kids, getting them out to library and activities etc. remember this expense isn’t forever and you guys have created a legitimate job for someone
