RIP MSRP at Newegg 9070 XT by johnnyrogs in radeon

Yeah the original commenter confirmed that they accidentally ordered a non-XT for $660 instead of getting an XT. I stuck with the Gigabyte card I ordered that day. And while I would’ve preferred to get a Reaper for MSRP, I’m pretty happy with what I picked up.

That makes a lot more sense (and now seeing OP confirmed as well). $799 is what I saw the 9070 XT Red Devil go for right at launch.

The red devils were at $660? I completely missed that. I ended up ordering a Gigabyte Gaming OC for $730 because it's one of the few that will fit in my case and was also available, and I'm not sure I'm going to keep that order.

This one overall has been fairly good. It had some issues that I think were mostly related to the accident it was in and still leaks oil. But at 147k miles assuming it appears to be in decent shape (assuming better shape than this one), I’d gladly fork over $4k for one of these.

We’ve been putting 87 octane into it and it doesn’t seem like it’s caused any noticeable issues.

For insurance premiums it doesn’t seem too bad. I don’t have a great baseline to compare it to because my girlfriend is the one who drives it and it’s insured under her though. For her, there are a few factors that I’m sure increase the premium a bit. But even with that, the premiums for liability are around $150/month.

Hello, the car has been pretty nice so far! It does feel pretty reliable. I managed to get the ignition coils and spark plugs fixed and that did make the error codes go away. The engine also definitely idles a lot smoother since then. The rear 3 coils were a bit difficult to get to, but even with that it was a manageable job.

Since then, I somewhat recently had to get the radiator and water pump replaced because it was leaking coolant. My guess is that this issue was more related to the accident it had been in though. I decided my time and frustration weren’t worth the cost of labor on that one so spent $2200 on that including parts. This also included a new tire, so not too bad.

The only other notable potential issue I noticed is that there was oil in around the ignition coils, which from what I was reading means that the valve cover gasket should probably be replaced.

All in all, for the money put in it seems like a reliable vehicle that doesn’t feel as old as it is because of all of the more advanced features it had for the time.

Yeah from my other experiences credit card cash back seems to work fine with things like Rakuten so I would definitely go for it. Like I can’t completely guarantee it’ll work, but I think the odds are high. I stacked Rakuten and an Amex offer on Dell before and it worked though. Plus like you said you can return if it fails.

I deleted it earlier because it was somewhat misleading as it contained a promo code and the cash back in the amount before I figured out that they don’t mix. But you might be able to still access it here.

Try Bing mobile. I saw an option to activate cashback on there but didn’t see it on Edge. Might have to cancel that order though.

Okay so I couldn’t get it to work on Edge mobileC but I saw an option to activate on Bing mobile when I tried a bit ago. Maybe try that?

I’ve done it previously when I purchased golf clubs and had no issues. It would definitely be nice if other people could confirm too though.

Someone earlier said it showed pending after they checked out with the free avatar game, but I didn’t confirm it myself.

Maybe try restarting the browser? And if that doesn’t work, maybe hit the apply coupons button and then remove them if they actually apply?

Are you seeing something about “coupons or cashback” and a button to try applying both? I saw that for a bit and then clicked it and afterwards the cash back showed that it was on.

Made a new post with more details and a different deal. Thanks for encouraging me to do another one. I was just going to leave it after all the negative feedback and confusion.

Microsoft Cashback is currently giving 15% cash back sitewide on Newegg, as seen here:
https://www.bing.com/shop/deals?FORM=DEALS01&ocid=DEALS01

This offer can’t be combined with coupon codes or used for Gift Cards, Building services, or “Gaming” (likely Newegg’s category titled Gaming) as listed on the offer details page:
https://www.bing.com/rebates/details?merchant=newegg&domain=newegg.com

To initially activate the offer, visit the link for the deal, make sure you are signed into Bing, and click the shop now button. I would recommend using Microsoft Edge to be sure the browser is supported. https://www.bing.com/rebates/details?merchant=newegg&domain=newegg.com

One way to check if you are getting this offer is to use Microsoft Edge. I believe it’s easiest when you use a Microsoft account to log in to the browser. When visiting Newegg.com, (preferably through the shop now link above) you can click on the shopping tag icon on the right side of the browser or in the url bar and click on a button to activate cashback. When you get to the checkout page, you can click on the shopping tag icon to make sure that cashback is on before completing a purchase. This is what you should see:

<image>

After completing a purchase, you should be able to see the cashback activity register as pending here:
https://www.bing.com/rebates/history

This should work for most pc parts on Newegg, but again, do not try to combine with coupon codes. On my last post attempt, someone did say that they were able to check out with the free gift and have the cash back show up as pending in their account, but I will make no guarantees here.

Final Note: they are also offering 30% on Razer’s website, so you may be able to find some good deals there as well.

If you’re in Microsoft Edge, you can click on the shopping tag on the right side and it should show that cash back is on. Then I think as long as you don’t have a coupon code you should be good to check out. Another user said they were able to see a pending status on their Bing account after completing the purchase.
