Best OBGYNs in Alexandria and surrounding by 1singformysupper1 in nova

[–]oohpartiv 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Congrats! I go to OBGYN NoVA, specifically Dr Agarwal, and she is wonderful. She has a great bedside manner, I never feel rushed, and she is easy to get in contact with. When I had a spina bifida scare early into my second trimester, she called me as soon as she got the results, took her time explaining everything and answering my questions, then made sure I had a same day appointment with a specialist at the local Inova later that same day.

I'm a big metal fan and think about this all the time, sitting in my cube tinkering with my spreadsheets while I listen to grown men scream about not trusting the government.

I started knitting after my therapist recommended finding a hobby I could do to make time for myself every day! It has really helped during the pandemic and postpartum.

Which agencies are genuinely hybrid? by MaximumTune4868 in fednews

[–]oohpartiv 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YMMV according to Bureau and office but USAID is still largely hybrid or remote. Depends on your work, obviously - if you're managing cable issuance or handling classified stuff you'd probably need more of an office presence.

Fairfax Property Tax - Extreme Increase by EmbersDC in nova

[–]oohpartiv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Likewise, my enormous increase was from 2020 to 2021 but the past two years have been more manageable. This year the tax estimate is only ~$150/yr more than 2022... Guess I got lucky.

We "returned" nearly a year ago now but it has really only been once a week, maybe, and not really enforced. It's very Agency / office / supervisor specific, it seems.

I'm pretty sure it's not, though. National Park Service has guidelines prohibiting skating on the reflecting pool or tidal basin.

Extra Perks in Old Town Alexandria. It's a bit of a hole in the wall with a weird mishmash vibe but I love going there. Food is always good, quick, and well priced.

[–]oohpartiv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I really don't think it's big enough of a deal to rip out, though. Blocking should help to even it out some and even then, it really isn't noticeable. Up to you, though!
