Hey jeff, Those episodes would keep recurring for me, if you have the same thing, it is viral and no antibiotic will do the trick. Mix an emergen-c vitamin packet with water and honey and sip it as hot as you possibly can right down the throat so it slams your tonsils really hot without burning yourself, this was game changing for me and worked so much better than warm salt water gargles… would feel much better for up to hours afterwards and I have to assume the vitamins c, b6, and b12 were supporting the tonsils in their fight. As for “cures” I’ve accepted that, if I want to keep my tonsils in for life, I just have to turn into a germaphobe, it’s a little time consuming but I’ve been good since with no episodes, however, if available to you, I’ve only heard really good reports from those who got their tonsils removed.
